With the rapid growth of our country's economy and population, the problem of water security, such as water resource shortage, water environment depravation, frequent flood disaster and so on, become more and more serious. The water security is a complicated and big system, which shall be solved by man. The step to solve the problem of water security, include analyzed, argumented and evaluated by the person, than passing by decision, turn into the implement stage. First, the paper simply introduces the research of water security problems, the basic theory of multiple criteria decision making methods and the applications for water security problems. Then, the paper uses multiple criteria decision making methods to solve water security problems, brings forward two multiple attribute decision making methods, the one is an improved ELECTRE IIImethod base on maximum entropy principle, the other is an improved TOPSIS method base on plumb distance; brings forward a fuzzy multiple objective decision making method, and a method base on accelerate genetic algorithm to solve Stackelber game theory model. Finally, the paper uses these multiple criteria decision making methods to solve the real water security problems. The results show that these models and methods have feasible and applicable.
