The deployment device is one of the ground zero-gravity simulation equipment that is used on the satellite solar array or antenna. The existing stationary deployment devices have large volume and take lots of space in satellite test building. In order to ensure other testing works proceed normally, the deployment device would be disassembled after the deployment testing work of satellite, and assembled before the next deployment testing work. Such a process would cost lots of time and the crucial indicators of rail of deployment device such as straightness, parallelism, levelness can’t keep consistency. To solve this problem, large-span mobile deployment device is developed, the control concept of the deployment device is studied in this paper, in which the control system is designed and development.Firstly, it proposed the control concept with PLC and SINAMINCS S120 as the core based on the machical structure and funct ional requirements. The up-down positioning of deployment device adopts open-loop control. The automatic leveling uses closed-loop control whose dip angle canbe used as the feedback signal of automatic leveling.Based on the coordinate transformation principle, there leveling matrix is calculated by analyzing the position and status of deployment device, and improved leveling algorithm by position is proposed. The automatic leveling system is established based on the PMSM servo control system model, which is designed by Simulink according to the vector control theory, and the algorithm is confirmed by simulation.Then, the hardware configuration of PLC and SINAMICS S120 are established by STEP7 and Starter respectively while the communication network of control system is established with PROFINET, RS485 Bus and wireless industrial Ethernet network. Based on PROFIdrive agreement, the communication message is constructed and the communication protocol is designed according to RS485 Bus. The PLC program is designed with modularized programming thought and the control and monitoring functions of upper computer, which is designed by Wincc flexible, is realized.Finally, the testing solution of deployment device is established on the base of laser tracker after control system development, and the method of testing levelness error of long round rail by laser tracker is proposed. The test results, which include location accuracy, manual or automatic leveling accuracy, show that the control system of deployment device reaches design requirement.
