China has extensive cultivated land that distributed in hilly areas, where wheat andrice are mainly planted and road conditions are complex, field is small-scaled andirregular, and some areas even have no tillage road. Research on a combine harvesterthreshing apparatus which is low-power-consuming, small-sized, flexible and able torapidly assemble and disassemble is an important way to solve the grain harvestproblem in these areas. In this project, up-to dated wheat supported threshing apparatusis studied which is based on Free-cutting Harvest. This article aims to get the mainstructural and motion parameters of the threshing apparatus through the experimentalstudy.By using the self-designed threshing apparatus test-bed, taking the wheat slopingangle as indicator, the single-factor test of conveyer auger rotating speed is carried outfirstly, and the optimum conveyer auger rotating speed are obtained. And then taking thethreshing loss rate as indicator, the single-factor tests of roller-speed and tooth-anglehave been done, and the values of these two factors initially are obtained. On this basis,taking the threshing loss rate, the trash content and the broken ear grain rate asindicators, the speed of the roller, the mesh aperture and the thresh gap are researched inthe orthogonal test, the important order of the factors influences on the tests and thebetter parameter combination are obtained. Then taking the threshing loss rate and thetrash content as indicators, the roller speed and the thresh gap are researched in theregression experiment. Optimum parameter combination of threshing apparatus isobtained by means of optimization. When the mesh aperture is14mm, the tooth angle0°,the thresh gap18.5mm, the roller speed927r/min and the roller length700mm,threshing loss rate is2.71%,and the trash content is19.20%.Taking the threshing loss rate as indicator, adaptability test of the threshingapparatus has been designed under the optimal parameters. The test result shows that thethreshing apparatus can work effectively when the per mu yield less than450kg. Thefield test has been carried out when the optimal parameters were using to the portable grain combine harvester, he test result proves that each test indicator better than thenational standard.
