In order to study the effects of diet adding oat hay on Qinghai Bamei two-breedcross sows on reproductive performance, serum biochemical and hormone, behavioursteretypies, development of organ and muscle fibre on newborn piglets, forty sowswith similar body condition and breeding time were randomly divided into high fibergroup, middle fiber group, low fiber group and control group (the dietary fiber levelsin early pregnancy were13.95%,11.02%,7.83%,4.33%, respectively, and11.93%,9.26%,6.38%,4.33%in middle pregnancy),and made the intake of energy, protein, lysine, calcium phosphorus and other basically the same. The main results as follow:Experiment1, study of diet adding oat hay on reproductive performance onQinghai bamei two-breed cross sows.Oat hay had a positive influence and improve the total newborn piglets, newbornlive piglets, weaning piglets, especially high fiber group and middle group weresignificantly higher (P<0.01) than control group; Meanwhile, weight of21d andweaning litter were increased, especially middle group were significantly higher(P<0.01) than control group; The weights of newborn piglets, live newbornpiglets,21d live piglets, weaning piglets of the middle fiber groups were nosignificant difference to the control group (p﹥0.05),high fiber group weresignificantly lower than control group(P<0.01).Experiment2study on diet adding aat Hay on serum biochemical and hormoneon Qinghai bamei two-breed cross Sows.(1) serum biochemical: for treatment groups, oat hay adding a suitableproportion to swine induced urea nitrogen(P<0.05), low density lipoproteincholesterol(P<0.01), total cholesterol(P<0.01), creatine kinase(pregnancy20dP<0.05, pregnancy80d P<0.01),increased blood glucouse, the middile fiber groupwas best;(2) hormone: for treatment group, oat hay adding a suitable proportion toswine induced cortisol(P<0.05),increased prolactin (P<0.05), the middile groupwas best.Experimeng3, study on diet adding aat Hay on behaviour steretypies on Qinghaibamei two-breed cross Sows.Adding a suitable proportion oat hay to sows, the lying down behaviour ofmiddle fiber groug was significantly (P<0.01)higher than control group on early pregnancy and middle preganancy by8.94%,7.85%;the bar-related activity of middilefiber group was significantly(P<0.05) lower than control group by2.13%on earlypreganancy, but was no significantly(P>0.05) difference on middle preganancy;thefloor-related activity of control group was worst, and significantly (P<0.01)higherthan miidle fiber grop on middle pregnancy by7.04%;the behaviour of vacuumchewing on control group was respectively and significantly higher(P<0.01) thanmiddle fiber group on early preganancy, middle preganancy by5.59%,5.43%; thebehaviour of vociferation on middle fiber group was significantly(P<0.01) lowerthan control group on early preganancy and middle preganancy by1.59%and1.11%.Experiment4study of diet adding oat hay on the development of organ andmuscle fibre on newborn piglets of Qinghai bamei two-breed cross sows.(1) immune organ index: liver index, inguinal lymph index and spleen index inhigh fiber and middle fiber group was higher (P<0.05), significantly different(P<0.01)and significantly higher (P<0.01) than the control group separately;(2)digestiveorgan index: pancreas index in high fiber group was significantly higher than that inthe control group (P<0.01), and middle fiber group different (P<0.05) from controlgroup;middle fiber and low fiber group were no significant difference to the controlgroup(P>0.05);(3)other organ index: heart index and renal index in high fiber andmiddle fiber group were significant higher((P<0.01), higher (P<0.05)to the controlgroup;(4) muscle fibre: the muscle fiber diameter and areas of longissimus dorsion andsemitendinosus on control group was biggest, and higher(P<0.05) than high fibergroup, but was no significantly(P>0.05) than middle fiber groups;the muscle fibredensity of middle fiber group was best on longissimus dorsion, semitendinosus andbiceps flexor cruris,,but was no significantly(P>0.05) than control groupWe can conclude that adding proportion oat hay on Qinghai bamei two-breedcross sows from experiment, which could improve the reproductive performance, serum biochemical and hormone, behaviour steretypies, development of organ andmuscle fibre, induced the blood urea nitrogen(BUN), low density lipoproteincholesterol(LDL-C), total cholesterol(TC), creatine kinase(CK), cortisol(COR),behaviour steretypies, and increased blood glucose, progesterone, prolactin, especiallythe middle fiber group was best.So we suggest the proportion oat hay on sow dieatry was11.02%(early preganancy.1.7kg concentrate+0.6kg oat hay),9.26%(latepreganancy,2.1kg concentrate+0.5kg oat hay).
