Welding is a complicated physicochemical which involves in electromagnetism,heat transferring, metal melting and solidifying, phase-change, welding stress anddeformation and so on. In order to get high quality welding structure, these factorshave to be well controlled. If welding process can be simulated by computer, we willeasily determine the optimum construction design, technological process and weldingparameter.The tractor rear suspension rod plays a key role in connecting the tractor withagricultural machinery, its strength and spatial angle is important to make sure therelative reasonable position between tractor and agricultural machinery, to play thebest performance as well as improve the manipulation of unit. Usually, tractor rearsuspension rod is welded together by tie rods and ball joints according to a certainspatial angle. It is a rising problem for enterprises to solve how to make sure thewelding process technology to guarantee the correct spatial position. Based onDONGFANGHONG LF1004Type tractor rear suspension rod welding process, in thispaper, deformation control theory and numerical simulation are applied to study andanalyze the welding quality, process, thermal deformation and welding residua stress,as well as make the predictive control for its welding deformation. As a result, itprovides the technical guidance for enterprises to draw a reasonable welding processof tractor rear suspension rod. The main research contents are as follows:1Three-dimensional model of suspension rod is developed to simulate weldingtemperature field, stress and deformation. In order to solve the problem and improvesolution accuracy, this paper chooses suitable material property parameter, usestransition mesh to ensure it has a fine grid in the welding zone,and chooses suitabletime step.It uses the method of “birth and death” method to simulate temperaturefield in the moving heat source. 2Welding temperature field and stress, strain field are bi-directional couple, butthe influence of stress and strain field on temperature is little and the calculatingability of computer is limited, so this paper only considers the single couple whichtemperature field effects on stress and strain field. When calculating,firstly calculatetemperature field and save the result, then rise the temperature result as load tocalculate welding stress and deformation. Then, the temperature field were introducedto do elastic analysis.3Analyze the welding temperature field at different time and welding heatrecycle curve of different points. By analyzing the distribution status of residual stress,its distribution rules will be derived. It provides designer with reference to optimizewelding structure.Through research, this paper establishes a feasible dynamic simulation method on3D welding temperature field, stress and deformation, which provides theoryfoundation and instruction, promotes the application of Finite Element Method onwelding mechanics analysis and engineering....
