Our country as a drought serious country, water resources of per capita fresh is only a quarter of the world’s average, ranked110in the world, is one of the poorest countries in the world of per capita water resources. Available water resources per capita are only900cubic meters, and unevenly distributed. Our country is agricultural country, agricultural water consumption accounts for68%of the total water consumption, of which more than90%of the total water consumption of agricultural is irrigation water, and the shortage of agricultural water resources, water resources waste, such as water pollution problems, combined with the most farmers using traditional flood irrigation, irrigation efficiency is extremely low, irrigation water utilization rate is only43%, while developed countries irrigation water utilization rate has reached70%-80%, the phenomenon of water waste is quite serious, these problems have become an important factor of restricting the sustainable development of agriculture of our country.In order to speed up the pace of agricultural irrigation automation, improve the effective utilization of water resources, shorten the gap with foreign irrigation level, this paper proposes a design scheme of intelligent irrigation control system, scientific monitoring the environment of the farmland information, provide the basis for intelligent irrigation strategy. Based on wireless sensor network and GPRS communication network hardware platform as the foundation of hardware, using B/S mode of development, the introduction of GIS technology, using Eclipse as the development platform, Java development language, Tomcat as a Web server, Mysql database as the background, the development of visualization of smart irrigation control system. This system not only can real-time access to farmland in the meteorological information (air temperature and humidity, soil temperature and humidity, wind speed, wind direction, light), but also can manage and analyze the collected environmental information, according to these information can decide whether to sprinkler irrigation, remote control electromagnetic valve switch in farmland. After introducing GIS, can also be displayed on the map of farmland in each block some attribute information, including the area, latitude and longitude, and some information about crops. This system has made great user of farmland environment information management and decision making. Finally, the paper combined with the practical application of the performance of the system was tested, the results show that the system software and hardware design is reasonable, the structure model conforms to the need of modern field environment information management, flexible expansion and extension, the technical performance can meet the smart irrigation control system of the remote monitoring of the actual needs. This paper studies the main contents include:(1) To study the field of environmental monitoring system platform to realize the hardware, including the need to monitor the environmental factors of sensor selection, GPRS module and the choice of the ways of monitoring terminal and server communication these three aspects of content.(2) To realize intelligent irrigation control system in all kinds of technology research, analysis of C/S and B/S two development modes, combining the advantages of the two modes, adopt the development mode. For the system to choose the suitable development language and database platform, and studied the GIS technology, ArcGIS technology, introduced in B/S mode, the system (of) all the visual display part based on map is complete.(3) Clear system platform design goals, to complete the design of the monitoring system platform, the system platform architecture design, function module, data organization structure and develop the design of the running environment in detail.(4) By the thought of modularization, Java and SQL Server database programming, smart irrigation control system based on GIS is developed, and realized the farmland environmental information based on geographic information management, network publication and the basic function of GIS, environmental data read, display, query, statistical analysis, remote control, etc.(5) For smart irrigation control system for farmland environmental monitoring the information of the precision and stability of the sensor was tested, and the remote control solenoid valve was tested, and the function of each module in the system was tested.
