Alpinia officinarum Hance is perennial herbs of Zingiberaceae, which havehighly medicinal value and economic value, it is the most important famous-regiondrug in south China and widely used in several industries. The major production areasis xuwen, zhanjiang, guangdong province, but the statistical result showed that thecultivated area was decease in recent years, to meet the needs of the market andguarantee of planting area, discuss the possibility of the model of forests intercrop, our study collect6kinds of cultivated variety of the Alpinia officinarum Hance tostudy the adaptation of shade. The effects of the full day light and the three differentdegree of the shades on physiological and morphological、biochemical、anatomicalcharacteristics and photosynthetic performance of the six materials were studied toevaluate the shade-tolerance of the materials and discuss the mechanism of shaderesistance, through imitating Imitate the field conditions, studied the possibility offorests cultivars of the four materials. The result showed that, shading treatment madeno different about the soluble Protein、soluble sugar and root activity of the Alpiniaofficinarum Hance, and do little affect of the total flavonoid content, and the maindifference are in the following several points:(1)The Alpinia officinarum Hance have well-grown under87.3%shade, thethickness of leaves becomes to be thin, the area of leaves becomes to be large, theinternode of stem becomes to be long, the chlorophyll content was significantlyincreased and the ratio of Ca/Cb was significantly decreased.and the treatment group’senzymatic activity is lower than the control group’s, studied the enzymatic activity indifferent period and found that, the enzymatic activity was lowed after the shadingtreatment. the control group’s proline concentration was lower than the treatmentgroup’s, and with the time going, the proline concentration improved.(2)Studied the photosynthetic characteristic of Alpinia officinarum Hance andfound that diurnal change of photosynthesis and light-light curve shows bimodalcurve, about the net photosynthetic rate, the control group was lower than thetreatment group, but the light saturation point and light compensation point werelower than the control group’s, the photoluminescence efficiency had no obviouschange. (3)Studied the Leaf blade paraffin section and blade surface temporary slides, and showed that the cell arrangement of treatment group’s palisade tissue becameloose, the spongy tissue thicken, the number of blade surface porosity decreased, thegas hole diameter became larger.(4)The significance evaluation indicates were measured as principal componentanalysis and regression analysis and clustering analysis, according to the ability ofshade-tolerant, the six Cultivar belong to three ground, the fifty one significanceevaluation indices were measured as principal component analysis,it was found thatfive significance evaluation indices were close connection with the shade-tolerant ofthe Alpinia officinarum Hance, and build-ed a mathematical model for estimating thethe shade-tolerant of the Alpinia officinarum Hance,i.e.,Y=8.825X11+18.019X20+1.631X28-0.01X40-0.012X51-38.713(R2=0.99),the predicting accuracy of this model is more than0.9.(5)Membership function analysis obout the ten indicators of the four cultivatedspecies in imitation understory intercropping, the results showed that the fourcultivated species galangal have strong shade-tolerant capability, especially Y and N.
