This study combines with filed experiment and economical analyzing methods to evaluate physical value and non-physical value of low hill meadow steppe.low hill dry steppe,high plain dry steppe,flood low land meadow steppe,sandy steppe in terms of degraded and non-degraded grassland of these5grassland types in Xinbaerhu Banner.. The physical value include forage product value and the leisure and recreational value, the non-physical value include atmosphere adjustment value、watershed function value、 soil conservation value、nutrition cycling value、waste decomposition value. And it shows that:1. The total ecological value of the said5grassland types is200.69×108yuan·a-1. Comparing the ecological value on unit area, it shows variation in different grassland types; the highest value appears in flood low land meadow steppe which is3.11×104yuan/hm2·a-1, following by2.56×104yuan/hm2·a-1on low hill meadow steppe, low hill dry steppe has the value of2.38×104yuan/hm2·a-1and followed by high plain dry steppe which is1.77×10yuan/hm2·a-1, the sandy steppe takes the last position which is1.31×l04yuan/hm2·a-1.2. For the degraded grassland area, the ecological value follows the same order of these5grassland types from the highest to the lowest. The highest value still happens on flood low land meadow steppe.which is1.25×104yuan/hm2·a-1, then low hill meadow steppe is1.02×104yuan/hm2·a-1, then1.01104yuan/hm2·a-1for low hill dry steppe, then high plain dry steppe is0.70×10yuan/hm2·a-1, sandy steppe has the lowest value which is0.45×104yuan/hm2·a-1. The degraded value takes up66.9%,66.6%,73%,65.7%,76.7%of non-degraded grassland.3. The most value of eco-service function of Xinbaerhu grassland is consisting of physical value and non-physical value. The forage production value is7.89×108yuan·a-1and the leisure and recreational value is1.54×108yuan·a-1. The atmosphere adjustment value is42.07×108yuan·a-1, watershed function is17.8×108yuan·a-1, soil conservation value is128.79×108yuan·a-1, nutrition cycling value is2.51×108yuan·a-1, waste decomposition value is0.09×108yuan·a-1. The non-physical value takes up92.6%and the physical value takes up7.4%of the total value.
