In this study, GA, ethylene, sulfamic acid, and maleic hydrazide these four drugs were used as chemical gametocide on42oil flower materials:fertile materials9D002, sterile materials121010and YK001~YK040, carried out a study of chemical gametocide effect on the gametocide domino offect of sunflower.The main conclusions were as follows:1. The best treatment chemical hybridizing period of sunflower was the bud diameter0.5cm-1.0cm after squaring.Different genotypes of sunflower had different sensitivity of chemical gametocide. In this experiment, YK012, YK027were sensitive to the efficacy of GA, YK001, YK030, YK036were insensitive relatively.2. Different genotypes of sunflower had different sensitivity of chemical gametocide. In this experiment, YK012、YK027were sensitive to the efficacy of GA, YK001、YK030、YK036were insensitive relatively.3. Different concentrations of GA will reduce the viability of sunflower pollen, all of the concentrations of0.015mg·g-1、0.025mg·g-1、0.035mg·g-1、0.045mg·g-1、0.055mg·g-1could reduce the viability of sunflower pollen, especially when the concentrations of GA were0.035mg·g-1and0.045mg·g-1, the viability of pollen were less than50%.4. All of4kinds drug treatment had an impact on sunflower agronomic traits, ethylene and maleic hydrazide of which had greater impact that lead to partly necrosis, but GA and sulfamic acid had smaller impact.5. After four kinds of chemical treatment, the relative content of chlorophyll in plants were lower than the control.6.Sunflower after GA and sulfamic acid processed, SOD enzyme activity significantly higher than control but POD enzyme activity significantly lower than control, causing bud membrane lipid peroxidation and anther membrane disintegrate, resulting in sunflower pollen sterility, seed rate decreased.7. The outcrossing rates were lower than the control after GA and sulfamic acid processed, the effect of the sulfamic acid on killing the male were less than50%, so there was no significance of sulfamic acid as a chemical gametocide.GA processed could effectively kill the male more than90%even100%at the concentrations of0.025~0.045mg-g’.After used four kinds of chemicals of the effect on kill the sunflower male research two years, we may initially consider that GA could as sunflower chemical gametocide since its small phytotoxicity and significant effect on gametocide. For different genotypes of sunflower, kill males using GA could adjust different concentrations even to100%.
