Chifeng is currently the largest scale and intensive cultivation base in Inner Mongolia. However, due to the harvest technology of alfalfa is not standardized, leading to low yields and poor quality. The quality of alfalfa hay is mainly secondary and tertiary, and weak competitiveness, low efficiency when compared with foreign harvested alfalfa hay. For this reason, the technology of alfalfa harvest was researched combining with the natural characteristics and production status of Chifeng region. Selected Chifeng City Alukerqinqi Bayan Seoul planting grass industry base as the test points, taking Golden Queen alfalfa and Suntory alfalfa as test material, to carry out at different growth stages, different stubble, different stubble heights and different growth height of harvest trials; Meanwhile analysis its water loss rules after harvest and the quality of alfalfa after rainfall, designed to provide the theoretical basis and technical guidance for farmers and herdsmen of harvest alfalfa.Through experimental research and analysis discussion come to the following conclusions:①In Chifeng region the best alfalfa harvest time is early flowering, and mowing three times annual are best.②The first and second harvest Alfalfa stubble mowing in5to8cm is better and the last mowing stubble height at8~11cm is best.③When taking the mowing height of plant height as standard, the height of about80cm can get better quality and good quantity alfalfa.④Within27hours after mowing, alfalfa leaf abscission rate is lower and better to turn over to dry, squash and other operations, over this period the drying effect is not obvious.⑤Rain treatment reduced the quality of alfalfa hay, so it should be avoided rain when harvest.
