The changes of UWL、active oxygen system、photosynthetic characteristics and root activity were studied under high temperature stress and treated by active oxygen radical scavenger and inducer of reactive oxygen species in Sedum hybridum ’Immeryrunchett’ and Sedum spectabile. It aimed to discuss the changes of UWL and generation mechanism focus on reactive oxygen under adversity stress. The main results were as follows:1. The experiment stuied the test conditions to measure UWL of leaf of Sedum plants by using single factor experiment. The results were:with light intensity10umolm-2s-1as illumination source, the distance from the source material as30cm,light irradiation time as5minutes, the middle leaves were determined for the proper determination of test conditions.2. Changes of UWL、eactive oxygen species level、photosynthesis characteristics and root activity were studied. The results showed:UWL of two Sedum. plants decreased and UWL of Sedum. spectabile which had a better heat resistance decreased less under high temperature stress. The root activity of two Sedum. plants decreased; photosynthetic rate、chlorophyll a、chlorophyll b and chlorophyll of two Sedum. plants decreased and photosynthetic capacity decreased under high temperature stress; production rate of O2-、 MDA content and relative electricity conductivity increased under high temperature stress.3. UWL and reactive oxygen species were studied on two Sedum. plants treated by active oxygen free radical scavenger and active oxygen free radicals induced agent under high temperature stress. The result showed:after treated by H2O2, it promoted to generate large amount of active oxygen of two Sedum. plants and UWL intensity increased:after treated by Sodium benzoate. it inhibited to generate large amount of active oxygen of two Sedum. plants and UWL intensity decreased. Reactive oxygen was a source of UWL of Sedum. plants.4. Under high temperature stress. UWL of Sedum spectabile with a better heat resistance was higher and UWL of Sedum hybridum ’Immeryrunchet’ with a poor heat resistance was lower.
