Because of the advantage of saving water and power, saving land and labor, the technology of low pressure pipeline irrigation has become a more practical and popular technology in China. By reason of a large population but limited farmland, variety of the crop species, developed economy, the large difference between topography variation, which leads to many problems in the popularization and application of low pressure pipeline irrigation projects. According to lacking knowledge of the application condition and the technology using, lack of construction standard, no analysis planning and poor effect, the paper researched on the suitability assessment system, a completely integration model and engineering construction standard for the popularization and application of low pressure pipeline irrigation projects in Jiangsu.(1) Based on the investigation, The paper identified the main influential factors on the popularization and application of low pressure pipeline irrigation projects, summarized sixteen indexes, proposed the suitability assessment system for technology of low pressure pipeline irrigation projects in Jiangsu, established comprehensive evaluation model by combining AHP with Fuzzy Evaluation, gave three judging standards for qualitative index and two membership functions for quantitative index. The results show that the assessment system is effective by case analysis.(2) According to the differences in natural conditions in Jiangsu region, the application region of low pressure pipeline can be divided into three areas, namely plain, polder area and hilly land. Based on the low pressure pipeline irrigation’s characteristics and requirements, we proposed a completely integration model for technology of low pressure pipeline irrigation projects in Jiangsu region, including water source, piping and field engineering. Besides, optimum arrangement mode of the field piping network under each mode were also provided.(3) Based on the pump selection, calculation of pipe diameter and flow, investment estimation of field water distribution systems, we established simulation model of engineering investment, proposed pipe length, investment index and suitable control area yield per mu in low pressure pipeline irrigation projects under each mode based on the above. (4)The paper researched the engineering construction standard in various types of low pressure pipeline irrigation projects, and proposed a completely engineering construction standard including the design, investment, construction and management.(5) The paper researched the aided planning software for low pressure pipeline irrigation projects, gave the general design, structure composition and application environment, developed the applicability assessment module and showed the process of real application.
