Surface irrigation methods are extensively used throughout the world. Approximately 90% of the irrigated lands in the world and more than 95% of that in China utilize surface water application techniques. However, unfortunately these methods often have lower application efficiencies and distribution uniformities. High runoff and deep percolation losses are cited as the main problems. About 45% of annual amount of water supply are wasted in the course of water delivery, water distribution and watering in farmland. Therefore, minimizing deep percolation and runoff while meeting irrigation requirements can increase irrigation performance.Surge flow surface irrigation, a comparatively new irrigation technique, can be easily automated and is a viable option for potentially improving irrigation uniformities and efficiencies. Irrigation system with low pressure pipe conveyance can decrease loses of seepage and evaporation, and then increase the irrigation performance. On the basis of the surge flow irrigation and the irrigation system with low pressure pipe conveyance, this irrigation system combines the advantage of the two techniques. The inlet of the valve connects with the outlet of the low pressure pipe, and the outlet of the valve connects with the perforated flexible pipe. The water flows to the farmland from the pores of the flexible pipe.According to the situation of the existing social and economic conditions and operations management level of the south hilly irrigation districts, this paper analyzes the advantage of three techniques:irrigation system with low pressure pipe conveyance, surge flow irrigation, and the perforated flexible pipe, combined use of the three techniques in the farmland.At the same time, a great deal of experimental investigation has been done also had been designed the pipe-diameter of irrigation flexible pipe with many pores on the condition of various work pressure and discharge, the outlet diameter and the max delivery length. This paper builds the modeling of the perforated flexible pipe through GAMBIT uses Fluent to analyze the catch-water uniformity of perforated flexible pipe. The results indicated that the perorated flexible pipe comes up to the requirement of the catch-water uniformity basically. |
