In order to understand the red goral seasonal daily feed intake and changes of the apparent digestibility and explore their dietary nutrient levels. In2012June to2013April healthy red goral were randomly selected in Shanghai zoo. Digestibility tests were conducted on different seasons and different physiological periods by all-fecal method. The results are as follows:Red goral daily feed intake (p<0.05), apparent digestibility of dried matter, crude fiber and crude protein (p<0.05) were significantly different between the two groups. Red gorals showed preferences to palatability of the Group Ⅱ diet with higher daily intake and digestibility. Therefore, Group Ⅱ is the recommended diet for captive red gorals.In June-July, female red goral apparent digestibility of dried matter, crude fiber and crude ash were significantly different (P<0.05) in different physiological period. It shows that the different physiological periods may be produced some influence on the red goral apparent digestibility.In January, male red goral daily feed intake of dried matter, rude protein, crude fat, crude fiber and ash feed were significantly higher than that of the female (P<0.05). The male red goral apparent digestibility of dried matter and crude fiber were higher than that of the female (P>0.05).Male red goral daily feed intake various nutrients and apparent digestibility were higher than that of the female in the winter.In March-April, male red goral daily feed intake dried matter, crude protein, crude fat and crude fiber were higher than that of the female, but the difference was not significant (P>0.05). While the male red goral apparent digestibility of dried matter, crude fiber were much higher than that of the female (P<0.05). In March-April, male red goral daily feed intake of various nutrients and apparent digestibility were still higher than that of the female.In June-July, male red goral daily feed intake of dried matter crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber and crude ash were significantly higher than(P<0.01) that in January and March-April. Daily feed intake of male red goral has some seasonal changes. Daily feed intake was higher in June-July, and in January and March-April it is low. In June-July, male apparent digestibility of dried matter, crude protein, crude fat were significantly higher than that in January and March-April (P<0.01).In June-July, females daily feed intake of dried matter and nutrient were significantly higher than that in January and March-April (P<0.05), in March-April, females daily feed intake dried matter and nutrient were higher than that in January, but the difference was not significant (P>0.05). In June-July, pregnancy female red goral daily feed intake dry matter and nutrient compared with lactation did not differ significantly (P>0.05). It found that female red goral daily feed intake may have a certain seasonal. In the gestational.female red goral apparent digestibility of dried matter was significantly higher than that in other periods (P <0.05).Apparent digestibility of crude protein was significantly higher than that of in breeding period (P<0.05).other physiological period of them crude protein values had no significant difference (P>0.05).Apparent digestibility of crude fiber was highest, it was significantly different in estrus (P<0.05).Apparent digestibility of crude ash was significantly higher than that in the breeding period and in the estrus (P<0.05).In the gestational females Apparent Digestibility of dried matter and nutrient were highest.In this study,28red goral blood samples were collected from the Shanghai Zoo as the research object, Screening of microsatellite loci from closely related species such as the long tailed goral, chamois using the red goral.Analysised of the genetic diversity of its population. Test results are follows:14primers amplified bands were appeared and9loci amplified primer can be stable. Of which4loci were high polymorphic loci (PIC>0.05),3loci were polymorphic (0.25<PIC<0.5) loci in moderate,1loci were low polymorphic loci (PIC<0.25),1loci were monomorphic loci (PIC=0)There are34alleles detected from8microsatellite loci, the average number of alleles (A) was4; the average effective number of alleles (Ne)was2.529; the observed heterozygosis (Ho) was0.562; the mean expected heterozygosis (He)was0.550; the average polymorphism information content (PIC)0.500. The results above showed that:in Shanghai zoo genetic diversity of red goral population is abundant.
