Water is one of the important resource for agricultural production. Jinghuiqu Irrigationdistrict is an important production base of grain and vegetables in Shaanxi Province. In recentyears, due to the reduction of regional rainfall, the dropped runoff from the river, theunreasonable irrigation schedule and the low level of water use efficiency (WUE), effects ofwater shortage on irrigation to grain and vegetable production has become increasinglyprominent. To solve this problem, through field plot experiment in well irrigation area ofJingyang County in Shaanxi province, the author did some text to research the effects ofdifferent irrigation schedules on winter wheat physiological growth, water demand regulation, yields, water use efficiency and economic benefits. Conclusions are as follows:1. Under the condition of irrigation in green stage, height, biomass and coverage ofwinter wheat increase with the increasing irrigation quota; irrigation in filling stage of winterwheat helps to reduce the decay rate of dry matter quantity accumulation and coverage, andincrease green leaf area and chlorophyll content. Through the comparison among the sametreating irrigation quota, the author find that height and biomass of root and canopy are largerin treatment with irrigation in wintering period and green stage; while the chlorophyll content, coverage and green leaf area are larger in treatment with irrigation in wintering period andfilling stage.2.The root-shoot ratio with the growth of winter wheat. The root-shoot ratio of treatmentwith irrigation in all growth periods, including wintering period, green stage and filling stage,is the largest. The relation between root-shoot ratio and yield showed three-order polynomial. In a certain range, the relation showed negative correlation.3. Irrigation can increase the moisture storage in the soil layer of0-100cm. Thetreatment with irrigation in green stage and filling stage can increase the moisture storage inthe soil layer of0-100cm significantly. With the irrigation times increasing, the differencebetween moisture storage before sowing and after harvest becomes less. After irrigation andlarger rainfall, the moisture storage appears peak value. Moisture storage of border irrigationchanges after irrigation, which the moisture storage in the soil layer of0-20cm changes the most, while it changes the least in the80-100cm layer.4. Irrigation can effect stages water consumption, daily water consumption and waterconsumption mode coefficient significantly. The improvement of irrigation uniformity canhelp to increase the yield of winter wheat. All treatments irrigation uniformity and yieldshowed a good linear correlation. Irrigation uniformity increases along with increased yield.Described improve irrigation uniformity is a key factor in obtaining high yield.5.The winter wheat yield increases with the increase irrigation quota. Which, irrigationin green stage and filling stage can influent the winter wheat yield directly. Irrigation in greenstage can increase grains per spike significantly, while the shortage of water can decrease1000-grain weight of winter wheat significantly. In contrast, irrigation in wintering period hasonly a little effect on yield. Under the condition of same irrigation quota, irrigation in greenstage and filling stage can improve WUE significantly.6. The less irrigation we use, the more water we save, while at the same time the yieldbecomes lower. In the case of the whole irrigation district, the less macroscopic irrigation weuse, the more macroscopic water we save, then the macroscopic yield becomes lower.According to loss-profit ratio, the author finds that trying to allocate the limited water toirrigate in green period and filling stage which can influent yield significantly.7.If we want to get the highest yield, the irrigation schedule we should use is the onewith irrigation in all stages. If we want to get the highest WUE, the irrigation we should useis the one with irrigation in green period and filling stage. If we want to get the highest netincome, the irrigation we should use is the one with irrigation in all stages.
