Micro crawler hillside tractor is significant to the hilly mountain agriculturaldevelopment, the current research on micro crawler hillside tractor is limited to thepreliminary theoretical research, theory system has not been perfect, its performance isstudied on the basis of test, often need to test many times; using virtual prototype technology,multi-body dynamic performance simulation can predict and evaluate the performance ofcrawler tractor, simulation can reduce the physical experiments, improve the safety of test,more real than the action mechanics method can reflect the actual running condition ofvehicle, provides the technical basis for micro crawler hillside tractor, reduces cost of theproduct development process in the manufacture of physical prototype, shorten thedevelopment cycle, as well as provide a methods for other tracked vehicle drivingperformance research, this method has a certain credibility. In this paper, based on shaanxiprovince tobacco project-"research and development of mountain remote micro tillagemachine ",micro crawler hillside tractor of the northwest agriculture and forestry universityas the research object, analysis and modeling the micro crawler hillside tractor, stability,crossing performance, use the multi-body dynamics simulation software RecurDyn build thevirtual prototype model of multi-body dynamics, analysis and simulation micro crawlerhillside tractor in the different working conditions. The concrete research content is asfollows:(1) Analyze and modeling the stability of micro crawler hillside tractor. From two aspectsof static and dynamic analysis on the stability of micro crawler hillside tractor, Static stabilityanalysis of the longitudinal stability and lateral stability, longitudinal stability of crawlertractor is analyzed when without tools uphill and downhill on the longitudinal stability andlongitudinal stability of the suspension of farm tools or drawing tools, lateral stability analysisof straight line driving and steering driving two aspects; dynamic stability analysis of thebrakes and the stability of the slope lateral moving encounter obstacles; the lateral stabilityusing model which has important affects on stability using MATLAB simulation analysis forthe stability of slope lateral driving which is intuitive to reflect the influence of various factorson the stability of tractor;(2) Analyze crossing performance of micro crawler hillside tractor. Analysis of geometricparameters related to the crawler tractor and level crossing performance, analysis and modeling of obstacle crossing performance and maximum grade ability, then also analysis themaximum gradeability of crawler tractor.(3) Multibody dynamics modeling and simulation of micro crawler hillside tractor. Byusing multi-body dynamics simulation software RecurDyn on micro crawler hillside tractor,choose the international standard of dry sand and sandy loam and clay as the three typicalroad, level crossing performance of crawler tractor in the simulation of three kinds of typicalroad then have driving resistance and ground pressure curve; vertical obstaclecrossing performance simulation analysis,analysis of different speed and different verticalobstacle height and the barycentric position and the soil changed which each has influence onvertical obstacle crossing performance; horizontal trenches crossing performance simulationanalysis, analysis of different speed, different width, different soil and change the centroidposition of crawler tractor which each has influence on horizontal trenchescrossing performance,simulation analysis was carried out on the slopes of crawler tractordriving performance, analysis of different soil road the driving maximum slope angle andcontrasting the simulation analysis of the same slope pavement on different soils; simulationanalysis of crawler tractor steering performance of three different steering, pivot steeringsimulation analysis of the road, turn90°steering road and the ramp to the simulation analysis,analysis of crawler tractor steering maneuverability...
