Modern medical research has shown that due to the presence of Chinese wolfberrypolysaccharides, amino acids, trace elements and other nutrients, wolfberry can improveimmunity, anti-cancer, anti-aging and stimulate growth and hematopoietic function, andregulation of the endocrine, blood sugar, other health functions. Wolfberry as strategic leadingindustries in Ningxia, acreage by4,100ha in1999, have increased to33,300hectares by2013,annual production exceeded50,000kilograms. Introduced varieties of lycium barbarum inQinghai province have developed the cultivation area of20,000hectares, annual output of30,000tons. At present, the awareness of Chinese wolfberry international market substantiallyincreases in China, which organic standards have been proposed. With wolfberry organicproduction start-up in China, product certification and specification need to be raised.Because of inadequate regulatory supervision, our certified organic wolfberry faces a toughtest in the international market.The study on organic wolfberry production’s main pest control and fertilization in the field,pointed out the main problems of organic wolfberry production standards in China. Combinedwith the different eco-environments, we conducted preliminary tests of bio-pesticides andorganic manures. The main results are as follows:Through the research of different fertilizer we found that yield slightly higher of organicfertilizer than the compound fertilizer, yield over CK43.5%-44.7%of application of organicfertilizer,39.8%-40.4%of applying complex fertilizer. But applying organic fertilizer wouldcause to increase population densities of Chinese wolfberry aphids, affecting Chinesewolfberry production.Through applying rotenone, matrine, santonin and other biological pesticides for aphidscontrol effect, with chemical insecticide pirimicarb and water as control, results showed thateffect of matrine and santonin after7days spraying were best for aphid control in productionof organic wolfberry, which can be used. Biological pesticides had better efficacy thanchemical pesticides. Different dose of matrine for aphid control were screened. The optimalspraying concentration of333.3mg/kg can be referred to the use in production practice.Different application concentration of three chemical pesticides can effectively control aphids. Application concentration results were as follows:30%thiamethoxam suspension,each hectares drug100.05ml~150ml, effective ingredients for30g~45g;25%pymetrozinesuspension, each hectares drug240ml~300ml, effective ingredients for60g~75g;5%acetamiprid emulsifiable concentrate suspension, each hectares drug360ml~600ml,effective ingredients for18g~30g.
