With the development of modern industry in pigs, more and more pig production scalesare growing. It’s easier to affect the breeding efficiency decreases, which affect the productionefficiency. However, two major indicators to improve production efficiency are semen qualityand fertility of the sow. In order to explore the semen quality influence on sow fertility, thisstudy were measured the correlation between the boar semen quality (sperm motility, spermdensity) and sow(Landrace, Yorkshire, Duroc) fertility (litter size, litter number born alive, birth litter weight). The results showed that:1. Calving performance of Landrace was the best, and Duroc’s was the worst, thenYorkshire’s located between Landrace’s and Duroc’s. The average litter size of Landrace,Yorkshire and Duroc was10.52,9.96and9.05. Litter size of Landrace,Yorkshire,Duroc,2ed,3rd,4th,5th and6th tire was higher, the third tire reached the maximum, the turnedof litter size was11.25,10.23and10.23.2. The correlation between sperm motility and litter size, litter number born alive, birthlitter weight of Landrace, Yorkshire, Duroc was extremely significant (P<0.01). When spermmotility in0.80~0.85, the average litter size and birth litter weight of three varieties increasedsignificantly.3. The correlation between sperm density and litter size, litter number born alive, birthlitter weight of Landrace, Yorkshire, Duroc was extremely significant (P<0.01). Thecorrelation between sperm density and litter size, litter number born alive, birth litter weightof Landrace was not significant (P>0.05). When sperm density was in0.421~0.580billion/mL,sow could maintain a high level of production.4. The correlation between sperm motility and litter size, litter number born alive, birthlitter weight of Duroc,1st,2ed,3rd,5th,7th tire and birth litter weight of Duroc,4th,6th tirewas extremely significant (P<0.01), and litter size, litter number born alive of Duroc,6th tirewas significant (P<0.05). The correlation between sperm motility and litter size, litter numberborn alive, birth litter weight of Landrace,1st,3rd tire was extremely significant (P<0.01).The correlation between sperm motility and litter size, litter number born alive, birth litterweight of Yorkshire,1st,2ed,3rd,4th,7th tire and litter size of Yorkshire5th tire wasextremely significant (P<0.01). The correlation between sperm motility and litter number bornalive of Yorkshire,5th tire, and litter size of Yorkshire,6th tire was significant (P<0.05). And with increased parity, the correlation coefficient decreases.5. The correlation between sperm density and litter number born alive, birth litter weightof Duroc,1st tire was extremely significant (P<0.01), and litter size of Duroc,2ed tire wassignificant (P<0.05). The correlation between sperm density and litter size, litter number bornalive, birth litter weight of Landrace,1st,3rd tire was extremely significant (P<0.01). Thecorrelation between sperm density and litter size, litter number born alive, birth litter weightof Yorkshire,1st tire and litter size, birth litter weight of Yorkshire,3rd tire was extremelysignificant (P<0.01), and litter size of Yorkshire,2ed tire, litter number born alive of Yorkshire,3rd tire was significant (P<0.05). When sperm density was in0.421~0.580billion/mL, littersize of sow was higher.6. Litter size, Litter number born alive and birth litter weight in spring breeding were thebest, and they were significantly in summer breeding (P<0.05). Litter size, Litter number bornalive and birth litter weight in autumn breeding were not significantly in winter breeding(P>0.05), and not significantly in spring breeding(P>0.05). Litter size, Litter number bornalive and birth litter weight in summer breeding were the worst, and not significantly inautumn or winter breeding (P>0.05).
