Camellia azalea was a precious everblooming protospecies, which belonged toSection.Camellia of Camellia. Camellia azalea F1generations got from Camellia azaleawhich as major parent, cross-fertilized with protospecies of Camellia or cultivars, bloomingin summer. This research mainly conducted individual optimization evaluation aboutCamellia azalea F1generations plants, preliminarily establishing comprehensive evaluationmodel about Camellias blooming in summer. According to the final evaluation results, theresearch discussed the optimization of nine hybrid combinations. Besides, features of flowerbud differentation of excellent individual plant could be known from bud e×teralmorphological changes. Meanwhile, research was to filtrate excellent individual plants, realize the stage of flower bud differentation and adaptability of leaf and provide a referencefor further selection and cultivation of the application. Research results were as followed:(1) By preliminary observations, the research screened out twenty-three individual plantsof Camellia azalea F1generations with no obvious plant diseases and insect pests, vigorousgrowth and high resistance. AHP(analytic hierarchy process) was used to conductcomprehensive assessment, establishing comprehensive evaluation model, electing nineteenevaluation factors and formulating connected standards for evalution. This researchconfirmed relative weight of nineteen evaluation factors via AHP software6.0, combiningwith grades (one-five credit system) of nineteen evaluation factors of twenty-three individualplants. Comprehensive assessment consequences of twenty-three individual plants weredivided into three ranks with high preferred rate of fifty percent, then described themorphological characteristics of eight individual plants which ranked first.(2) The study focused on the flower bud differentation of Camellia azalea and fourindividual plants, according to the changes in size and external morphology of flower bud.The flower bud differentation was divided into seven period, which was early period offlower bud(Ⅰ)、expand period of flower bud(Ⅰ~Ⅲ)、early period of flower bud(Ⅲ)、e×pand period of flower bud (Ⅲ~Ⅴ)、initial period of dew of phase(Ⅴ)、expand period ofdew of phase (Ⅴ~Ⅵ)、anthesis(Ⅶ).(3) The size of flower bud of Camellia azalea and F1generations in stage Ⅴ andⅤ~Ⅵ presented positive correlation. Besides, flower size of five materials ranged from87.1mm to129.2mm; and the difference between hybridization materials and Camellia azalea wasremarkable.(4) Analysis on micro data of leaves, showed that there were obvious differences amongH-2-NO.5and other5materials on upper waxy layer thickness、epidermis thickness、thickness of leaves, etc. meanwhile, compared with Camellia azalea, H-2-NO.5gotremarkable increasement. By the method of membership function to anylyze adaptation ofleaves, the results indicated that the adaptation of these materials ranked as follow:H-2-NO.5> H-2-NO.6> H-5-NO.2> H-D-1> H-2-NO.1> H-7-NO.3。...
