Community green space is the urban green space which islinked most closely with people living, and the structure and function ofplant communities are important features for community green space.Understanding the relationship between community structure andecological benefits of plants has important practical significance to theoptimization ofplant communities which can make it work for the goodecological benefits.167plant communities from three community in Shanghai wereselected. The species composition, biodiversity, community type, greenquantity, cooling and humidifying effect, shading effect, anion effect ofplant community are analyzed.And on this basis, through analyzing thecorrelation between the plant community structure indicators (diameter atbreast height, coverage, height, etc.) and Eco-efficiency indicators (plantquantity, cooling effect, humidification effect, shading effect, anion effect)to explore the factors which impact the eco-efficiency of plantcommunity. And on this basis, proposing corresponding optimizationcountermeasures for different types of green plant communities. Theresults showed that:In the167plant communities to be surveyed in Shanghaicommunity, There are280species, which belong to92generas and204families.The species with frequency≥10%are high-frequency species, and there are8kinds of tree species in Green roads,9kinds of treespecies in parks,15kinds of tree species in residential green space and12kinds of tree species in other green.The magnolia,laurel,camphorand cedar are high-frequency species of4diffierent types of green spacein community. Diversity index order: Green roads <Other green <Parks<Residential green space.The types of community are rich. Green roadsand Parks are mainly composed of deciduous arbor community types,Residential green space and Other green are mainly composed ofevergreen and deciduous mixed community types.The correlation between plantquantity of167communities andplant Communities’ Structural Characteristics, including the average treeheight, average DBH,average coverage of species,LAI,crown density,Simpson index, Shannon-winner index, species richness, shows that theplant quantity of plant community is correlated with the coverage ofspecies for green roads in community.The plant quantity of plantcommunity positively is correlated with diameter at breast height,heightand coverage of species for parks in community.The plant quantity ofplant community is correlated with diameter at breast height,height andcoverage of species and height of shrub and grass for residential greenspace in community.The plant quantity of plant community is correlatedwith diameter at breast height,height and coverage of species and heightof shrub and grass for other green in community.The correlation between eco-efficiency indicators whichincluding green quantity, cooling effect, humidification effect, shadingeffect, anion effectand plant Communities’ Structural Characteristicswhich including the average tree height, average DBH,average coverageof species,LAI,crown density,Simpson index, Shannon-winner index,species richness, shows that in Green roads the cooling effect iscorrelated with coverage of species,the shading effect is correlated with average DBH,coverage of species and diversity index,the anion effect iscorrelated with diversity index.In Parks,the cooling effect is correlatedwith LAI,diversity index,the humidification effect is correlated withLAI, the shading effect is correlated with LAI, crown density anddiversity index,the anion effect is negatively correlated with LAI andcrown density.In Residential green space,the cooling effect is correlatedwith crown density,the humidification effect is correlated with crowndensity,the shading effect is correlated with crown density and diversityindex, the anion effect is negatively correlated with LAI and crowndensity and is positively correlated with diversity index.In Other greenspace,the cooling effect is correlated with LAI and crown density,thehumidification effect is correlated with coverage of species and crowndensity,the shading effect is correlated with LAI and crown density.Through the correlation between the plant community structureindicators and eco-efficiency indicators,we can explore the factors whichimpact the eco-efficiency of plant community. And on the basis ofexisting problems, proposing corresponding optimizationcountermeasures for different types of green plant communities. In theprocess of the construction of Green roads,we can adjust coverage ofspecies to increase the plant quantity and adjust DBH, coverage ofspecies and diversity index to improve the ecological benefits of plantcommunity. In the process of the construction of parks,we can adjustDBH,height and coverage of species to increase the plant quantity andadjust the crown density, LAI and diversity index to improve the ecological benefits of plant community. In the process of the constructionof Residential green space,we can adjust DBH,height and coverage ofspecies to increase the plant quantity and adjust the crown density,LAIand diversity index to improve the ecological benefits of plant community.In the process of the construction of Other green,we can adjust DBH,coverage of species and LAI to increase the plant quantity and adjust thecrown density to improve the ecological benefits of plant community.
