The rise of Internet of things brings new life to intensive dairy farming. The emerging technologies such as RFID, sensor make it possible to collectinformation about the body conditions of individual dairy cattle. Asindividual feeding becomes more and more popular among dairy farms, dairyfarmers can determine the nutrient requirement according to the bodycondition indices such as the weight, the lactation period and the dailyyielding. In this way, dairy farms are able to feed dairy cattle by individuals. This article proposes individual feeding strategy for dairy cattle throughintroducing the application of Internet of things in feed formulation for dairycattle. In order to acquire the body condition indices of dairy cattle, wedesign an information collecting system and show how the system operates. Then we show how a multi-objective stochastic model that permitsconfronting the cost of the ration with the probabilities of meeting thenutrient requirements of the dairy cattle can enhance the process of animaldiet formulation. In this paper, we only consider the satisfaction degree ofmethionine and lysine because these two are very important for theproduction and growth of dairy cattle. Finally, we develop a software systemto apply the model we put forward and the method we propose in the paper, which is very helpful for dairy farmers to understand the model and thesolving methods. The research is very useful in advancing productionefficiency and management of dairy farming industry.
