Eucryptorrhynchus chinensis (Olivier) is Eucryptorrhynchus chinensis (Olivier) is an important quarantine pest in many provinces in China, having strong host specialty of Ailanthus altissima (Mill.) Swingle and its variation Ailanthus altissima var. Qiantouchun.Duo to its long and cryptic life cycle, no measures are effective enough to prevent and control the weevils Tthis thesis has developed a research about the indoor artificial feeding and synthetical prevention of E. chinensis. The results are as the below:(1) A half artificial fodder could achieve the goal of raising E. chinensis and had been applied a national patent for invention. In contrast larves feeded with the natural fodder, there was an obvious increase in the larvae’s weight of the ones feeded by artificial fodder. Theduration of whole larval stages could be greatly shortened. Besides, it showed significant advantages in larva’s survival rate, pupal rate, pupal period and emergence rate.(2) Toxicity test of six Pesticides were recorded by the common spraying method. The virulence value of these six pesticides were rated as the following,3% Fenoxycarb EC>5% Imidacloprid EC>10% Acetamiprid EC>25% Thiacloprid OF>1% Emamectin Benzoate EC3% Efficient Cypermethrin EC. For the runk perforated injection, the diameter of trunk injection 1 ml/cm of 3% Fenoxycarb EC showed the best prevention efficiency, the control effect was 58.25%. For the trunk spray prebention,3% Fenoxycarb EC and 25% Thiacloprid OF had a better control on the pest, and the control effect were both higher than 50%. The deluted 1600 times liquiad of 3% Fenoxycarb EC showed the best efficiency and the control effect was 66.68%.(3) Soil mixed toxicity test of the effects of four pesticides on Eucryptorrhynchus chinensis larvae showd that their virulence values are rated as,40% Phoxime EC>48% Chlorpyrifos EC>20% Carbosulfan EC>1.8% Abamectin EC.Forest tests through soil perforated injection show that both 40% Phoxime EC and 48% Chlorpyrifos EC has high prevention efficiency, the control effect both passed 50%. The 40% Phoxime EC 200 times is even better, the control effect was 64.45%.(4) The agricultural fertilizer gunwere improved and designed as a injection gun connected with a set of vehicle-mounted prevention instrument, to be proposed a new method in preventing underground pest. Compared to the traditional soil drench, this new soil perforated injection was efficient to cover 34 plants each day, and the average dosage was 0.06kg each plant and the average cost is 1.5 yuan each plant.(5) The entomogenous fungus founded in the field was indentified as one species in Verticilljum.. In indoor test, the entomogenous fungus separated from the larva can cause 60% of death rate, while the fungus separated from the adult can cause 18.52% of death rate. Application of 30bilion Beauveria bassiana spore/g 1000 times of the preliminary test in the field, the corrected mortality is as poor as only 7.87%.
