ELOVL6 is’ sixth member of the ELOVLs family, located in chromosome 4 q25 area. Gene 105 KB, include five exons, four introns. Fatty acid is an important part of the life health of animal body, activity of maintaining the life, and ifs an important component of metabolism. Especially fatty acids also plays the role of signaling molecules, involved in the metabolism of life and important biological processes. Beef cattle body measurements, weight, carcass weight was also an important symbol of yield and quality. So I choose the genes in this experiment which associated with fat expression and regulation, strict selection of the similar day age, living and breeding environment the same Qinchuan beef cattle as experimental material, extracting of DNA. Using the detection of this gene polymorphism loci, analysis of different genotypes. Study the explicit implicit and an associated measured traits in cattle The result of our study shows:1、 Using PCR- RFLP technique, We detected 3 SNP in Qinchuan cattle ELOVL6 gene.g. 82409A>G, g. 82508G>A located in exons 2; g.3084A>G is located in the introns 1.2、 The 3 mutations are moderate polymorphisms(0.25 < P < 0.5). g_ 82409A>G,g.82508G>A in Hardy-Weinberg extreme imbalance; g.3084A>G in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium state3、 g. 82409A>G loci of three genotypes of Qinchuan cattle have significant difference in body height(P=0.043), have no significant difference in body length, hip width, body weight, carcass weight( P>0.05); g. 82508G>A loci of three genotypes has extremely significant difference in body height, body length, hip width(p<0.01)? simultaneouslyhave no significant difference in body weight and body weight(P>0.05). g.3084A>G loci of three genotypes has no significant difference in body height, body length, hip width(p>0.05), have significant difference in body weight and carcass weight(P<0.05).Different genotypes of bovine has a significant effect in muscle and adipose tissue,or bone development in the three Loci.
