Phenacoccus solenopsis Tinsley is an important quarantine pest of agricultural and forest, and was firstly found in Guangdong,China, in August 2008. By the end of April 2010, this pest has been recorded among 80 counties and 9 provinces (autonomous regions) in China. In 2008, Aenasius bambawalei Hayat, a dominant species of parasitioids of P.solenopsis was found in India, which was identified by Hayat as a new Encyrtidae species in 2009. In this paper, nutrient contents and activity of protective enzymes and detoxifying enzymes in P. Solenopsis parasitized and unparasitized by A. bambawalei were determined.1. Effect of parasitization by A. bambawalei on nutrient contents of P.solenopsisThe protein contents of P.solenopsis unparasitized and parasitized by A.bambawalei were both increased firstly, and then decreased.12 to 48 hours after treatments, the protein contents of parasitized group were higher than the unparasitized group, while from 72 to 96 hours after treatments the protein contents of parasitized group were lower than the unparasitized group. The glycogen contents of P.solenopsis unparasitized and parasitized by A.bambawalei were significantly different in each time period.12 and 24 hours after treatments, the glycogen contents of unparasitized group is higher than the parasitized group in the same period.48,72 and 96 hours after treatments, the glycogen contents of unparasitized group was lower than the parasitized group in the same period. The trehalose contents of P.solenopsis unparasitized and parasitized by A.bambawalei both showed a downward trend from 12 to 24 hours after treatments, and the unparasitized group declined more significantly. From 72 to 96 hours after treatments the trehalose contents of two groups increased slightly, and the parasitized group had a greater growth rate. The trehalase activity of P.solenopsis unparasitized and parasitized by A.bambawalei both decreased firstly, and then increased slightly.12 to 24 hours after treatments the parasitized group fell down more than the unparasitized group; from 48 to 96 after treatments.the trehalase activity of two groups jncreased slightly, and the parasitized group increased more.2. Effect of parasitization by A. bambawalei on 3 protective enzymes in P. solenopsisThe CAT activity of P.solenopsis unparasitized by A. bambawalei firstly declined and then increased, while the parasitized group showed increasing trend. As a whole, the CAT activity of parasitized group increased, that of unparasitized group declined slightly. In different time period, the POD activity of P.solenopsis unparasitized by A. bambawalei were lower than the parasitized group in the same period. As a whole, the POD activity of parasitized group decreased, and the unparasitized group increased dramatically,96 hours after treatments, the POD activity of two groups were the same basically. In different time period, the SOD activity of P.solenopsis unparasitized by A. bambawalei were significantly different. The SOD activity of unparasitized group firstly increased and then tended to stability, and that of parasitized group firstly increased and then decreased. In general, the SOD activity of two grouos both increased, while the unparasitized group increased more.3. Effect of parasitization by A. bambawalei on 3 detoxificative enzymes in P. SolenopsisIn different time period, the GST activity of P. Solenopsis unparasitized and parasitized by A. bambawalei were different. The GST activity of unparasitized group changed inapparently 12 to 72 hours after treatments, the GST activity of parasitized group did not change.72 to 96 hours after treatments, the activity increased significantly and reached maximum at 96 hours. In different time period, the AchE activity of P. Solenopsis unparasitized and parasitized by A. bambawalei were different.12 hours after treatments, the AchE activity of unparasitized group was lower than the parasitized group; From 12 to 24 hours, the AchE activity of unparasitized group increased, while the parasitized group decreased; From 24 to 96 hours, the AchE activity of parasitized groups were lower than the unparasitized group in the same period. The AchE activity of two groups both increased with the time gone. The CarE activity of P. Solenopsis unparasitized and parasitized by A. bambawalei were both increased firstly, and then decreased, and increased again. The CarE activity peak of parasitized group appeared earier than the unparasitiezd group, and the CarE activity of unparasitized group decreased more slowly. The research results suggested that the parasitization by A. bambawalei declined the protein contents, increased the trehalose concentration, and improved the glycogen contents of P.Solenopsis. At the same time, the trehalase activity of parasitized group was also higher than the unparasitized group. The CAT and POD activity of parasitized group were significantly higher than the unparasitized group; 12 to 48 hours after treatments, the SOD activity of parasitized group was higher than the unparasitized group. The parasitization by A. bambawalei increased the GST activity, decreased the CarE activity and AchE activity of P. solenopsis parasitized.
