| This thesis intends to study how the plant arrangement in Geoffrey Bawa’s works effect on the spacial experience in the integrated architecture environment, in prospect of the effect on space by plant from the architect’s point of view.In one direction, the study on the ways to deal with plants goes from the overall layout strategies when facing the integrated environment of the site taking in the vegetations, to the plant arrangement adopt to the specific special elements of external ground, architecture itself, the waters and the artifacts. On the other aspect, the analysis on special experience influenced by vegetations goes materially and spatially. While the material perception refers to the posture, color and texture of vegetations, the special perception involves the sense of scale, the feeling of light and dark, the way of viewing statically or in contrast, and the physical perception of body.In the corresponding way of study on both methods and results, the conclusion of how the appropriate plant arrangement works on special experience is illuminating to architects. |
