Our country is a vast, complex terrain, climate diverse country, because of the unique geography and natural conditions, China’s drought disasters frequent,developing drought monitor is meaningful. Early drought monitoring mainly rely on manual observation, there is a heavy workload and poor timeliness issue, with the development of technology, more and more attention to the development of modern national drought monitoring instruments.This paper combined with drought information collection technology and wireless communication data transmission technology, developed a telemetry terminal machine based on STM32 drought information collection and transmission of remote data. Can be realization soil moisture, evaporation, rainfall and temperature in real-time data acquisition, and via GPRS wireless network reported the collection data to the central station; Through drought rating prediction model based on BP neural network algorithm,telemetry terminal machine reported parameter data of drought real-time for comprehensive assessment,to achieve the level of drought prediction, forecast.Specific studies are as follows:(1) Sensor Selection:According to the characteristics of drought information monitoring, weighing various monitoring sensors in the functional characteristics, cost, power consumption and reliability, choose this system development related sensors.(2) Remote terminal development:Analysis of the system functional requirements, to study the function of each module to achieve the related technologies, As the core to the STM32F103ZET6 microprocessor, designed to extends the system’s data storage module, data acquisition module, the operator display and wireless communication module, making hardware circuit, written relevant programming, and carried outsystems related to commissioning, meet the design requirements.(3) Central station demonstration: mainly introduces the function of central station of each module, focusing on the drought level prediction model’s feasibility in theory based on the BP neural network.This topic is completed in the actual research to support development of a company in Xi’an, the software and hardware of system design is complete, carried out repeated laboratory tests and field measurements experiments, comparative analysis of the experimental data, the results show that the system can effectively complete information collection and reporting, and make a specific analysis accurate to drought data.
