Tobacco is an important economic crop, and it plays an important role in increasing farmers’ income and national fiscal and tax. rotary tillage ridging and hole digging research on tobacco machinery in china is still in its infancy stage: with low levels of mechanization and automation, intensive of labor, low efficiency, low standards of hole-digging that it is difficult to achieve the effect of high yield and good quality. The research of tobacco rotary tillage ridging and hole digging machine has positive meaning in reducing the soil disturbance, improving working efficiency and increasing production. It combined with tobacco growing agronomic requirements in this paper, putting a new idea and method for tobacco machinery. The research work and conclusions of the paper are listed as follows:(1)Designed a tobacco rotary tillage ridging and hole digging machine. Through the domestic and foreign research about rotary tillage ridging and hole digging machine, the general structure was determined. Tobacco rotary tillage ridging and hole digging machine is mainly comprised by walking tractor, transmission systems, knife shaft combination, hole digging mechanism, wheels, main frame and the hood.(2)Designed the main components structure. The detailed design including the choice of ridging blade and layout, the analysis of cutting soil, force analysis of knife shaft. Though the analysis of working parameters, the hole can be achieved on the ridg by the crank rocker mechanism in theory.(3)Static analysis of the main components. This paper designed the whole machine in Pro/Engineer combined with the design requirements, created the three dimensional model and optimized the whole machine. And it also analyzed the under stress of the main part in ANSYS. Stress Analysis shows that the torque of ridge arbor is 456.74 N · m, the circumferential force is 2340 N, the axial force is 675.5N. The maximum stress of the spindle is 77.881 MPa, and the total deformation is 0.10566 mm. The maximum stress of the lineshaft is 88.836 MPa, and the total deformation is 0.18424 mm. The results shows that the design meets the requirements of the shaft.(4)Prototype test. The field experiment shows that the machine is lack of scraper plate so that the shape is unqualified, working parts bare leak out and the ridge is easy trampled.(5)Optimized the whole machine. Aimed at the problems found, I designed scraper plate and stand bracket. So the design of this new tobacco rotary tillage ridging and hole digging machine met the technical requirements of tobacco agronomic.
