Application Effect Evaluation Of Cottonseed Meal And Peanut Meal In Diets Of Common Carp

This experiment was conducted to investigate the practical application effect of four plant protein feedstuffs including general cottonseed meal(GCM),high-protein cottonseed meal(HCM), degossypolled cottonseed meal(DCM) and peanut meal(PM) on carp feed. The four feedstuffs were used in practical feed formulation.,each formula was designed with low and high ratios(22% and 32%).The diet with low ratio was processed to pellet feed and extruded feed while the diet with high ratio was processed to pellet feed. In 56 days breeding trial, a total of 360 juvenile Jian carp with average body weight of (11.2+0.06) g were randomly allocated to 12 groups with 3 replicates, and each group was fed different diet with equal nitrogeon and fat. At the end of breeding, feed intake(FI),weight gain rate(WGR),feed conversion ratio(FCR),some physiological and biochemical indices were analyzed.The results showed that:1.The feedstuffs and adding ratio had significant effect on the FI,WGR and FCR, processing method had significant effect on the FI and WGR while had no significant effect on the FCR.The WGR of pellet feed of the three kinds of cottonseed meal with low ratio was 332%-393%,the FCR was 1.33～1.54 and the DCM group was the best. The WGR of extruded feed of the three kinds of cottonseed meal with low ratio was 239%-312%,the FCR was 1.38～1.48 and the GCM group was the best. The WGR of pellet feed of the three kinds of cottonseed meal with high ratio was 212%-376%, the FCR was 1.41～1.81 and the GCM group was also the best.2. The WGR and feed efficiency of the pellet feed of PM group was lower than DCM group.but it was higher in extruded feed.3.After extruded:the WGR of GCM group,HCM group,and DCM group reduced by 19.2%, 25.5% and 31% respectively while it increased by 38.3% in PM group.The FCR of GCM group and HCM group had no significant differences (P>0.05).the FCR of DCM group increased significantly while reduced significantly in PM group (P<0.05).The VI of GCM group increased significantly and there was no significant differences in another three groups(P>0.05).The crude protein of whole body of carp was reduced and the crude lipid was increased in each group(P< 0.05).The amylase activity of each group was increased significantly.Another intestinal enzyme activities of three groups of GCM,HCM and PM were increased significantly(P<0.05),but they were reduced significantly in DCM group.The activity of SOD was increased significantly and the concentration of MDA was reduced significantly(P<0.05).4.After increasing the adding ratio of four protein feedstuffs in diet:The WGR and feed efficiency of each group were reduced.The VI of the three cottonseed meal groups were increased while reduced in PM group,the CP of the four groups were reduced. The digestive and absorptive enzyme activities of GCM,HCM and DCM groups were reduced.The activity of SOD was reduced and the concentration of MDA was increased significantly(P<0.05). The amylase activity of PM group was increased, while the activity of lipase and Na+/K+-ATPase of intestine were reduced and trypsin activity had no significant differences (P>0.05). The activity of SOD was increased and the concentration of MDA was reduced significantly(P<0.05).In conclsion, under this experimental condition:1. The differences of the application effect between pellet feed and extruded feed on carp were related to dietary formula composition.After extruded,the growth performance in PM group was improved while it was worse in GCM,HCM and DCM groups.2. After the adding ratio of the four plant protein feedstuffs was increased from 22% to 32%,the growth performance of carp was all decreased.So the adding ratio of 32% was not suitable for practical application.3. When the adding ratio is 22%,the growth performance of DCM group was the best in pellet feed while PM group was the best in extruded feed. When the adding ratio is 32%,the growth performance of DCM group was the best in pellet feed.
