Animal welfare has been paid more and more attention recently, though using antibiotics for livestock and poultry can improve their health, some countries in Europe had already controlled it. Developing and exploiting green feed additives had become one thing needed to be done immediately. The health of replacement gilts is very important which decides pig farm benefits. This experiment was to study the effects of probiotics and FOS on growth performance, immunity, intestinal microflora, colony house environment through feces and blood testing and provide the basis for replacement gilts raising.(1) The effects of probiotics and FOS on daily weight gain of replacement gilts. 224 replacement gilts were randomly divided into 4 groups, with 4 replications per group and 14 gilts each replication. Control group were fed basal diet, treatment group 2, 3, 4 were fed basal diet supplemented with 0.02% probiotics, 0.1% FOS, 0.01% probiotics and 0.5% FOS, respectively. The experiment lasted for 30 days. Weighed replacement gilts at the beginning and ending. The results showed that, compared with control group, each daily weight gain of treatment group was significantly higher than control group(P<0.05), complex group is the most significant group with the improvement of 21.2%(P<0.05). Probiotics group and FOS group improved 17.0% and 8.51%, respectively. But there was no significant difference between three treatment groups.(2) The effects of probiotics and FOS on T3、T4 and GH level of replacement gilts’ serum. On the basis of experiment up, three gilts of each treatment were choosed to get serum sample, got the data of T3、T4 and GH level from them by radioimmunoassay. The results showed that, probiotics group and complex group had higher T3、T4 and GH level than control group(P<0.05). Aspect of T3, 29.4% and 37.3%, aspect of T4, 47.6% and 52.6%, aspect of GH, 16.3% and 19.5%, respectively. The T3 level of FOS group had improved 13.7%(P<0.05), but no significance in T4 and GH level.(3) The effects of probiotics and FOS on nutrient digetibilties of replacement gilts. On the 24th-30 thday, one gilt each treatment was choosed to get feces sample and feedstuff sample. After the experiment, get the data of protein level and energy level from them. The results showed that, aspect of energy compared with control group, probiotics group and FOS group improved 5.4% and 4.9%, respectively(P<0.05). Aspect of protein, probiotics group and FOS group significantly improved 8.4% and 10.0%, respectively, but no significance in complex group.(4) The effects of probiotics and FOS on IgA, IgG and IgM level of replacement gilts’ serum. On the basis of experiment up, three gilts of each treatment were choosed to got serum sample, got the data of IgA, IgG and IgM level from them by immunoturbidimetry. The results showed that, probiotics group and complex group had higher IgA, IgG and IgM level than control group(P<0.05). Aspect of IgG, 2.5% and 6.3%, aspect of IgA, 9.5% and 18.1%, aspect of IgM, 2.1% and 6.2%, respectively, but no significance in FOS group(P>0.05).(5) The effects of probiotics and FOS on intestinal microflora of replacement gilts’ feces. The results showed that, compared with control group, the amount of E. coli in each treatment group lower than control group significantly(P<0.05) with 99%, 100%, 92% respectively, there were no significance between treatment groups( P>0.05). Probiotics group and complex group had higher Lactobacillus level than control group(P<0.05) with 46.7% and 26.2%, but no significance in FOS group( P>0.05). Compared with control group, the amount of Bifidobacteria in each treatment group improved significantly with 21.2%、33.7% and 130%, among them, complex group had higher amounts than probiotics group and FOS group(P<0.05).(6) Effects of probiotic and FOS on ammonia gas concentration of pigpen of replacement gilts. Experiment was undertaken to detect ammonia gas concentration by Nessler’s reagent colorimetry. Compared with control group, the ammonia gas concentration of pigpen of three treatment groups were lower(P<0.05), complex group was more significant lower(P<0.05).It was concluded that probiotics and FOS can improve the growth performance, immunity, intestinal microflora and living environment of replacement gilts in varying degrees, and more significant in complex group. These results can apply to production in the future.
