Kidney Bean’s Suitable Sowing Date And Varieties Research Of May To September In Wuhan Greenhouse

Kidney bean was a kind of thermophilic vegetable which was delicious and popular with customers, it was unable to tolerate both high and low temperature.The study selected 10 sprawling varieties of kidney bean as material which purchased from Wuhan seed trading market. Through comparing each kidney bean cultivars’ growth and development situation, tender pod yield, main traits and the quality indicators from May to September 10 sowing dates in Wuhan greenhouse, then we can get the suitable sowing time and cultivars. At the same time, the high temperature is the main obstacle of kidney bean greenhouse cultivation in Wuhan from May to September. Through comparing the heat resistance of 10 kidney bean seedlings during the greenhouse cultivation process which under the highest temperature, after a comprehensive analysis we can elected the better heat resistance kidney bean varieties.The main results were as follows:The determination of kidney bean’s suitable sowing date, in the 10 sowing period, due to the high temperature,10 kidney bean cultivars were not normal flowering and pod on June 10 th, June 25 th, July 10 th and July 25 th, the four sowing dates were not suitable for kidney beans cultivation in greenhouse.While in the remaining sowing dates,mining pod of each kidney bean cultivars was significantly longer on May 11 and August 24 than that of several other sowing dates, harvest pods and pods average yield also were significantly higher, so May 11 and August24 were suitable sowing dates for kidney bean’s cultivation in Wuhan greenhouse from May to September.The determination of kidney bean’s suitable sowing varieties, in this test,through comparing the growth emergence,average mining pods and pods yield of kidney bean varieties in ten sowing period, after a comprehensive analysis, the germination rate, the average pods mining number and production of Jingxuanxiza No.2jiadou(CD002)and Chuyu No.2kidney bean(CD010) were significantly higher than other varieties in most sowing dates, so we can know that Jingxuanxiza No.2jiadou(CD002), Chuyu No.2 kidney bean(CD010) were suitable cultivation varieties from May to September in Wuhan greenhouse.Heat resistance comparing of ten kidney bean cultivars in different seeding period under high temperature, in the treatment test of kidney bean seedlings under high-temperature, after the same high temperature handling, the seedlings of CD002,CD010 and CD005 are lower in conductance rate and malondialdehyde content, but higher in praline, soluble protein and chlorophyll content basically than others, with also higher activity in superoxide dismutase and peroxidase.
