| The development model of the rice cultivation mechanization mainly depends on the rice cultivation technology. Compared to rice transplanting, direct-seeding cultivation can sow the seeds directly in the field without artificial seedlings, pull up seedlings and transplanting. Direct-seeding cultivation is not only a light simple cultivation methods but also in the processes that promote efficiency and cost savings,effort savings,labor savings, with a very broad prospects for development and application promotion.This paper designs a new type of ring groove-type push seed-metering device which applied to direct seeded rice is based on the comparison of theoretical and experimental performance of several typical of China’s existing seed-metering device working principle and performance characteristics. The working principle and the force situation of the seeds on push area and dropping area is analyzed and the theoretical maximum speed of the seed-metering device is defined. The paper introduces the structure and working principle of the improved spoon wheel metering device, and performance comparison experiment with the multi-line metering device. The test results show that the spoon wheel metering device for performance index of rice dibbling is better than multi-line metering device, which can be used as a metering device for rice direct seeding machine design.The present situation of rice direct sowing at home and abroad and the structural characteristics of rice direct seeding machine is investigated and analyzed. The design scheme and structure parameter of rice direct seeding machine is determined on the premise of fully investigate the situation of rice production and agronomic requirements, and the parametric modeling is based on the software CATIA. A new type of models applicable to bunch planting rice direct seeding is devised eventually and the prototype is trial manufactured.Performance metrics of hole spacing consistency, hole spacing adjustment accuracy, seeding uniformity are examined on field experiments of prototype.The experimental results showed that the average hole spacing consistent with the design value, verify the accuracy of the prototype design parameters, reliability and feasibility of the whole drive. Rice direct seeding machine for distance adjustment range between 100mm-240mm, various stalls rice for seed meter corresponding hole measuring the mean distance from the theoretical point matches, live machine to verify the accuracy of the hole from the regulator.
