Research On The Chinese Herb Effervescent Suppository To Cure Cow’s Endometritis

The cow endometritis is one of the main causes to cows infertility, which cause serious damage to the development of dairy industry. According to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, the screening of appropriate Chinese medicine prescription, not only has the ideal treatment effect, but also can solve some problem, including the vestigital of drugs, drug resistant strains, etc. In this experiment, the antibacterial test in vitro to the 4 main pathogenic bacteria of cow endometritis was carried out, the Chinese medicine prescription which to cure cow endometritis has been screened used by orthogonal test. The results show that the compounded Chinese medicine prescription can restrain the 4 main pathogenic bacteria which composed by 8 Chinese herbs including honeysuckle, radix scutellariae, angelica,etc.Effervescent suppository has little stimulation and easy to use, after they contacted body fluids large numbers of froth would produce, and could go deep into the uterus mucosal folds, at the same time herbs would be released, to maximize the pesticide effect. Effervescent suppository matrix was screened by using orthogonal test, and traditional Chinese medicine effervescent suppository was prepared with the Chinese medicine prescription which has been screened. The appearance quality, weight difference, melting time, melting range, deformation temperature, p H, etc. were detected; the antibacterial test in vitro to the 4 main pathogenic bacteria of cow endometritis was carried out used effervescent suppository. The results show that the optimal formula of traditional Chinese medicine effervescent suppository is: PEG – 6000 1.4g, sodium bicarbonate 0.26 g, citric acid 0.24 g, twain-80 0.03 g, main medicine 0.404 g; the physical and chemical Characters of traditional Chinese medicine effervescent suppository were conform to the requirement of Chinese pharmacopoeia; Inhibition effect of traditional Chinese medicine effervescent suppository to 4 main pathogenic bacteria was close to the the Chinese medicine prescription.Effective components content of chlorogenic acid and baicalin which included in the Chinese medicine effervescent suppository were tested and the quality stability and controllability of product were studied by using HPLC. Chlorogenic acid and baicalin in 3.2 to 25.6μg /mL and 20.8 to 62.4μg /m L range has a good linear relationship; Precision and repeatability of chlorogenic acid and baicalin were good; the content of chlorogenic acid and baicalin in the Chinese medicine effervescent suppository was 0.00291 g a grain and 0.00618 g a grain; the range of chlorogenic acid and baicalin recovery rate were 99.46% and 99.23%. The results show that the method is stable and controllable for quality control.
