Northern Native Plant Landscaping In The City Parks

City parks are built and designed impressively along with rapid development of city. Exported plants are getting more prevalently used for plant material in parks instead of usage and research of domestic plants. Through field research method this article summarized choices limits of plant variety occurring in northern city parks, lack of attention, monotonies of color assortment, lack of landscape level and research. Then provided method of configuring various domestic plants and solution about cultivating domestic plants mutation in order to enhance domestic plants landscape and harmonize landscape with hill and lake, taking advantage of domestic plans strength to avoid disadvantage of bring visual fatigue and create unique domestic plants landscape.Research methods used include literature research, field surveys, comparative summary, induction and deduction illustrate methods. Firstly, analyzed current situation of Duhai Park in Hohhot and Si Dalin Park in Harbin both theoretically and practically: theoretically, analyzed functionalities, principles and features, patterns of plant decoration, types of domestic plant’s space and how different types impact on people in procedure of design in northern city parks. Meantime, concluded perspective about combination of domestic plant and landscape, domestic plant and water land, domestic plant and road way, domestic plant and decoration, domestic plant and architecture, domestic plant and garden, then harmonized domestic plant with the whole park’s environment. Practically, based on investigation in Hohhot and Harbin, the major city in Inner Mongolia and Heilongjiang respectively, chose the most typical city parks as sample and categorized principles and methods in designing city parks in north area. In addition, discussed situation in Huiheyuan Garden in Shandong province, it provides example and reference for future work.According to theory and practical research in northern domestic plant, I made the conclusion including:(1)By analyzing plant landscape in Duhai Park(Hohhot) and Si Dalin Park(Harbin), summarize advantages about domestic plants ecological characteristics, easy to keep and cost saving; and disadvantages about monotonies of color assortment, visual fatigue. Provided a way to expand popularity of domestic plants in city parks.(2) According to analysis of plant landscape in Duhai Park(Hohhot) and Si Dalin Park(Harbin), concluded familiarity, space characteristics of plant landscape, dimension of space and plant landscape space of domestic plants.How environment impacts on people’s life.(3)Concluded types of plants which are suitable in northern city parks, and also found ways to make cozy environment and keep domestic plants long living and stable by combining arbor + bush + landscape. Using combination, division and other techniques to create private room satisfying people’s mental requirement and practical needs, and further summarized application in environmental psychology.Especially based on unique regional characteristics with domestic plants, concluded connection between local environment and people’s feeling.(4)Due to advantages of domestic plants, it is practical to build a more innovative and energetic city. Implement ecological characteristics, regional features and cultural essence into city park landscape, combining theme of parks, other garden elements and technology to build a more comfortable and appropriate for development in the future city park landscape.
