Using Anhui white goats as experimental animals, systematically studied goat estrus synchronization and timed artificial insemination program to support the management of goat breeding in the large-scale farm. Also we studied the effect between Day 0 superovulation protocol and traditional superovulation protocol to provide adequate source of ovum for the production of transgenic goats and related infrastructure. This study is divided into the following five parts:Experiment 1:Research of progesterone method on estrus synchronizationWe compared the sustaining time of homemade controlled internal drug release (CIDR) and the effect of GnRH injections on estrus synchronization at the time of sponge insertion. The results show that in the 7 d and 14 d group, estrus rate was 46.7% and 47.1%, non-return rate were 71.4% and 75%. conception rate were 28.6% and 50%, lambing rate were 1.50 and 2.00. After GnRH injection, estrus rate were both 50%. Compared the imported CIDR used repeatedly for 3 times and the estrus synchronization efficiency, the results show that the 1,2 and 3 times of repeated application of estrus rate were 42.1%, 23.1% and 0%.Experiment 2:Research of PG injection on estrus synchronizationChoosing good body condition, no reproductive diseases of Anhui white goats respectively in 2013 September (189 goats), October (91 goats), November (120 goats) for the two times PG injection synchronous estrus experiment. Each test were randomly divided into five groups, respectively interval of 7,9,11,13,15 d two times PG injection.The results show that estrus rate of five groups were 84.7%,55.0%,66.7%,66.7% and 64.3%, non-return rate were 88.8%,79.9%,70.7%,59.9% and 57.7%, conception rate were 72.5%,43.5%,47.0%,35.4% and 32.5%, lambing rate were 1.67,1.66,1.72,1.36 and 1.59. Estrus rate of 7 d interval group was significantly higher than that of 9 d (P<0.05), and the other four groups had no significant difference (P>0.05); non return rate of 7 d interval group was significantly higher than that of 13 d,15 d (P<0.05), and the other two groups had no significant difference (P>0.05); conception rate of 7 d interval group was higher than the other four groups (P<0.05). There was no significant difference between the five groups (P>0.05) in lambing rate.Experiment 3:Influence of age and weight on estrus synchronizationAmong the statistics of 211 estrus synchronization goats in Experiment 2 in October and November,198 goats are one year age of primiparous,13 goats are two years old; there are 73 goats-weight below 25 kg,99 goats between 25-30 kg,39 goats above 30 kg. After estrus induced by two times PG method, comparison of oestrus rate show that estrous rate and lambing rate of primiparous goats were 62.2% and 1.54, two years old goats were 92.3% and 2.00, but estrus rate and conception rate of primiparous goats were higher, respectively 73.9% and 51.0%; estrus rate of the goats which weight below 25 kg was 54.1%,25-30 kg was 67.9%, above 30 kg was 74.2%, but non-return rate, conception rate and lambing rate were not significantly different.Experiment 4:Research on the timed insemination395 goats were randomly divided into three groups, using different timed insemi-nation protocol after two times PG injection of estrus synchronization. Group Ⅰ:The goats were inseminated two times at estrus and 8 h later (protocol 1); Group Ⅱ:The goats were inseminated two times at 8 h and 16 h after estrus (protocol 2); Group Ⅲ:according to the distribution of estrus time to choose the best time (at 48 h and 56 h after estrus) for timed insemination (protocol 3). The results show that non-return rates were respectively 66.3%,74.1% and 73.9% in these three groups, the difference was not significant (P>0.05); conception rate were 40.3%,48.6% and 49.7%, the difference was not significant (P>0.05); lambing rate were 40.3%,48.6% and 49.7%, the difference was not significant (P>0.05).Experiment 5:Research on Day 0 superovulation protocol in Anhui white goat12 Anhui white goats were randomly divided respectively into two groups for Day 0 superovulation protocol and traditional superovulation protocol. The results show that, corpus luteum number of Day 0 protocol and traditional protocol were 16.5/head and 13.8/head respectively, average recovery embryo number were 13.3/head and 12.0/head respectively, two groups had no significant difference (P>0.05).
