This work deals with artificial insemination, the variation of the concentration of reproductive hormones (P, E2, LH and FSH) during estrus, pregnancy and after parturition and embryo transfer in the Saanen goat.Goat Artificial Insemination (AI) plays an important role in the milk intensive production system to control reproduction and, in conjunction with progeny testing, to improve milk production. We worked with 93 Saanen goats. Estrous cycles were synchronized by the insertion of intravaginal progestagen-impregnated sponges (45 mg fluorogestone acetate, Chrono-gest, Intervet) for 15 days. Superovulation was obtained by intramuscular injection of 2mL of a solution of Pregnant Mare Serum Gonadotropin (PMSG) and sodium chloride injection per capita 24 hours before removing the sponge. We inseminated 12 hours after the first signs of heat with frozen semen. To clarify that each goat was inseminated, we used it three times with 12 hours of interval. The semen was collected from four bucks, at 2 per week for 3 weeks, using an artificial vagina.The semen, after examination of its quality has been diluted due to diluent of 3mL for 1 mL of semen. The diluted semen has been put into straws of 0.25mL and then kept in liquid nitrogen (-196 degree C). One year later, preserved straws were used to inseminate 93 goats. Among of the 93 goats,64 (68.81%) became pregnant and gave the term gestation 109 kids with an average weight at birth equal to 2.74kg.The concentration of progesterone began to increase from the conception. It went from 0.61ng/mL the day of insemination to 1.01ng/mL the day132 of gestation. The concentration of progesterone was maintained at a high level until the approach of parturition. The decreasing began a few days before parturition continues until 0.53ng/mL at the third week. The concentration of estradiol had known a regression of estrus (7.23pg/mL) at the 49th day of gestation (4.95pg/mL). The growth began at the 109th day of gestation (12.18pg/mL) to reach its peak (16.61pg/mL) at the 130th day of gestation. The decreasing was observed from day 137. The concentration of serum LH did not vary practically from conception to day 49 (approximately 4.60ng/mL). After it has undergone, alternatively, the creasing and decreasing were not important until parturition. After parturition, the rate of LH increases substantially from 5.85ng/mL at the second week to 8.32ng/mL at the fourth week. The concentration of FSH, which began with 3.69ng/mL the day synchronization of oestrus, has not been a significant change until the day 42 of gestation. It recorded a decreasing in two weeks (2.96ng/mL and 2.73ng/mL); to increase suddenly the day 109 (8.75ng/mL) and the day 123 (8.77ng/mL). The concentration of FSH was decreased the day 130 (4.54ng/mL) until parturition. Two weeks after parturition, it suddenly increases and reaches its peak (8.84ng/mL) to finally decrease.For Embryo Transfer, we used 36 Xinong Saanen goats including 8 donors and 28 recipients. Estrus synchronization in all goats (donor and recipient) has been obtained by the administration of the intravaginal sponge CIDR. With respect to super ovulation, we have used Serum Gonadotrophin for Injection (PMSG) for a dose of 3.5 IU/kg, fourteen days after the deposit of the intravaginal sponge. The earliest signs of heat were observed one day after injection of PMSG. Donors insemination was made on August 17th 2009 and transfer of embryos from donor to recipient on August 23rd,2009. The collection and embryo transfer were made surgically with the use of anesthetics. A total of 116 embryos were collected, but only 86 transferred. The 86 embryos were born 37 kids.
