Continuous forest inventory system, can regularly large sample survey of forest resources, the more accurate reflection of the large-scale forest resources. Therefore, continuous forest inventory data by large-scale forest biomass and carbon storage research is the ideal way to understanding forest carbon source/sink problem. This study on the basis of the first four to eight national forest inventory data, combined with field investigation and laboratory analysis data, compatibility predicted birch forest area, and predicted volume, biomass, carbon storage in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region. Through analysis, this research mainly draw the following conclusion:(1) The Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Young birch forest, Half-mature forest, Near mature forest, Mature forest, Over-mature forest stock volume per hectare on average respectively 24.2m3/hm2,68.6m3/hm2,105.8m3/hm2,108.6m3/hm2 and 116.8m3/hm2, during the previous inventory did not change significantly; the forest biomass per hectare on average of different age groups respectively 26.68t/hm2,70.59t/hm2,103.1 lt/hm2,105.42t/hm2, 112.08t/hm2, the average biomass of all age groups is 87.62t/hm2; the forest carbon density per hectare on average of different age groups respectively 11.75t/hm2,31.08t/hm2, 45.40t/hm2,46.02t/hm2,49.35t/hm2, the average forest carbon density of all age groups is 42.78t/hm2.(2) According to the forecast in the Ninth for a class of inventory (2013-2018 years), the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of Young birch forest, Half-mature forest, Near mature forest, Mature forest, Over-mature forest area will reach 5.829E5hm2,1.1548E6hm2, 1.5392E6hm2,1.8090E6hm2,6.075E5hm2, forest stock volume will reach 1.41062E7m3, 7.92193E7m3,1.628474E8m3,1.964574E8m3,7.09560E7m3;Tenth of a class inventory (2018-2023 years), the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of Young birch forest, Half-mature forest, Near mature forest, Mature forest, Over-mature forest area will reach 4.731E5hm2,8.189E5hm2,1.5198E6hm2,2.3037E6hm2,6.722E5hm2, forest stock volume, will reach 1.14490E7m3,5.61765E7m3,1.607984E8m3,2.501818E8m3,7.85130E7m3; during the twice inventory, birch total area will reach 5.5933E6hm2 and 5.7876E6hm2, birch total volume respectively reach 5.235862E8m3 and 5.561152E8m3.(3) According to estimates in a class of Ninth inventory (2013-2018 years), the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of Young birch forest, Half-mature forest, Near mature forest, Mature forest, Over-mature forest biomass will reach 1.55518E7t,8.15173E7t,1.587069E8t, 1.907048E8t,6.80886E7t, forest carbon storage will reach 6.8491TgC,35.8912TgC, 69.8797TgC,83.9738TgC,29.9801TgC; Tenth of a class inventory (2018-2023 years), the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of Young birch forest, Half-mature forest, Near mature forest, Mature forest, Over-mature forest biomass will reach 1.26223E7t,5.78062E7t, 1.567066E8t,2.428561E8t,7.53402E7t, forest carbon storage will reach 5.5589TgC, 25.4514TgC,68.9989TgC,106.9378TgC,33.1731TgC; during the twice inventory, the total biomass of birch will respectively reach 5.145694E8t and 5.453313E8t, forest carbon storage will reach 226.5783TgC and 240.1201TgC. In the 2013-2023 decade, the average autonomous annual birch forest carbon storage in increments of 2.4013TgC/y.(4)Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region birch stand Biomass-Stock volume Expansion Factor continuous function is:B=V/(0.8716+0.00146V).(5)Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region the average carbon containing rate is 0.4403, tree layer carbon containing rate is 0.4419.
