With global warming and other ecological conditions changing, our level of plant diseases and pests of crops affected by the trend was increasing year by year, in order to be able to understand the disaster timely and effectively, using of information and communication technology to build wireless image transmission system of Agricultural Plant Diseases and Insect Pests, is to address this the problem of effective ways and means. GPRS (General Packet Radio Service)-based wireless image transmission system of agricultural pests and diseases uses STC12 microcontroller as the core, control serial port camera filming the scene pictures, and send to a pre-configured mobile phone number of farmers and E-mails of the experts through GPRS Module SIM300 by MMS. The system to solve difficulties that the communication cable can not cover the vast majority of farmland as well as experts and the number of restrictions are subject to geographical difficulties not to reach the scene, the system realized its wireless monitoring of agricultural pests and diseases.Thesis of agricultural pests and diseases based on GPRS wireless image transmission system design and implementation were studied. System’s main function is to complete the image acquisition of agricultural pests and diseases, MMS sending, receiving and so on. Paper first has done a brief introduction the program of system as a whole, followed by the key technology used in the program were analyzed on this basis, selected as the core SoC (System on Chip) microcontroller STC12C5A32S2 processing chip, serial GXT-Y601 camera to take photographs, GPRS Module SIM300 to send MMS. The various parts of the hardware circuit, power circuit and the external interface circuit has been designed, and then in the Keil environment of the system software to prepare and simulation, software adopt modular structural design, primarily to complete the power-on initialization subroutine, camera parameters Set subroutine, subroutines camera, the GPRS module initialization subroutine and MMS sending and processing subroutine. Finally, the system is running the test, and there conducted a preliminary analysis of problems and propose summary and prospects.
