The second phase flood control engineering of the Yellow River in Ningxia is the need of "the Yellow River gold coast along the Yellow River" and the rapid development of economy and society.It is also significant to improve and ensure the flood control in NingXia.The Rhinogobio nasutus national aquatic germ plasm resources protection area which was Located in the section from Qingtongxia to Shizuishan of Yellow River was established in December 12,2007. The protection area was total 23100 hectares, test area was 19460 hectares and the core area was 3640 hectares. It would provide a decision-making basis for the second phase flood control engineering of the Yellow River in Ningxia to study the influence of the engineering on Rhinogobio nasutus national aquatic germ plasm resources protection area, analyse the ecological environment and main function of the protection zone.Based on the relevant historical data, the mothods of visiting survey and field sampling were using to investigate and study plankton, benthic animals,aquatic plants of the section from Qingtongxia to Shizuishan of Yellow River from May to October in 2013.The phytoplankton had 32 species. There were 13 species belonged to Bacillariophyta,11 species belonged to Chlorophyta,3 species belonged to Cyanophyta,2 species belonged to Xanthophyta,1 species belonged to Pyrrophyta and 1 species belonged to Chrysophyta. Zooplankton had 11 species. There were 8 species of rotifer,2 species of copepod,1 species of protozoa. There were 29 species of fishes, of which had one national protected species named Coreius septentrionalis.There were 4 provinces protected fish named Rhinogobio nasutus, Silurus lanzhouensis, Cyprinus carpio and Coreius heterodon.Based on the investigation of the aquatic germplasm resources in the protection area and the construction of this project, the influence of construction period and operation period would had be predicted. The influence factors of flood control engineering on aquatic ecosystem were vibration, noise, solid waste, suspended solids, production and domestic sewage. The flood control engineering would put influence on water quality, hydrology, fish three field and migration channel.Noise, vibration, domestic sewage, solid waste, suspended matter would put serious influence on fish. For the influence of the flood control engineering on aquatic ecosystem,the corresponding protection measures and suggestions were put forward such as the countermeasures noise and vibration control, measures of water pollution, measures of solid waste and suspended solids control, fish avoidance measures, rare fish accident emergency rescue plan and fish proliferation of discharge measures.
