| Chinese giant salamander(Andrias davidianus)belongs to Andrias,Cryptobranchidae,Caudata of amphibians.It is a precious wild animal and a native specie of China.Chinese giant salamander are mainly in the creek canyon of the Yangtze River,Yellow River and Pearl River at the elevation of about 1000meters.It is a second-grade animal under state protection,according to"List of National Key Protected Wildlife"(1998).There have been 21 protected areas at all levels,including 2 at the national level and 9 at the provincial level.Established in 1982 in Henan province,Xixia giant salamander protected area focuses on the conservation of Chinese giant salamander and their habitats including terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.The protected area is located in Xixia County which is at the south of Funiu Mountains'hinterland and distributed in 6 townships including Sangping,Shijiehe,Junmahe,Taiping,Zhaigen,and Chenyang(which has been incorporated into Dinghe Township).Xixia giant salamander protected area has no specific division of areas and boundaries,and no permanent signs since its establishment,leading to the daily management and supervision of law enforcement work can not be carried out which seriously affect the protection of the protected area and the protection of giant salamander.Therefore,in order to better protect giant salamander and its living environment and also to develop the local economy improving people's living standards,it is necessary to define the division of the protected areas?to divide the functional areas and to set permanent signs.1?Survey of aquatic resources in protected areas(1)A total of 6 phytoplankton phylums were detected including 54 genus and species.There are 8genus of cyanobacteria,2 genus of Cryptophyta,2 genus of Pyrrophyta,21 genus of Diatom,4 genus of Euglena and 17 genus of Chlorophyta.Among these,the amount of Diatom take the highest percentage,followed by cyanobacteria.(2)A total of 21 genus of zooplankton were detected.There are 12 genus of rotifers,5 genus of copepods,4 genus of cladocera.Among the various zooplankton species,rotifers accounted for the largest proportion,followed by copepods.(3)There are 27 species of benthic animals,including 3 species of mollusks,2 species of annelids,2 species of crustaceans,and 20 species of aquatic insects.Aquatic insects dominate the zoobenthos.(4)There are 10 species of fishes belonging to 3 orders,4 families.Among these,there are 7 species of Cypriniform,2 species of Siluriforms and 1 species of Perciformes.(5)There are 2 orders,4 families,9 genus,12 species of amphibians,of which Cryptobranchidae has one genus,one specie;Ranidae has 5 genus,7 specie;Microhylidae has 2 genus,2specie.2?Being adjusted,Xixia giant salamander protected area is divided into three parts:protected area 1,protected area 2 and protected area 3.The total protected area is 27,613 hm~2,of which the core area is11,424 hm~2,accounting for 41.4%;the buffer area is 5,667 hm~2,accounting for 20.5%;and the experimental area is 10,522 hm~2,accounting for 38.1%,distributed in 6 townships including Sangping,Junmahe,Shijiehe,Taiping,Zhaigen,and Dinghe.Protected area 1 located in 33.615133-33.801855 north latitude,111.186814-111.426268 east longitude,with a total area of 16230 hm~2,of which the core area is8690 hm~2,the buffer area is 3480 hm~2,and the experimental area is 4060 hm~2,distributed in Sangping,Shijiehe townships.Protected area 2 located in 33.614829—33.713141 north latitude,111.508335—111.583977 east longitude,with a total area of 3953 hm~2,with its experimental area distributed in Junmahe,Taiping Township.Protected area 3 located in 33.453080—33.537910 north latitude,111.148198—111.311769 east longitude,with a total area of 7430 hm~2,of which the core area is 2734 hm~2,the buffer area is 2187 hm~2,and the experimental area is 2509 hm~2,distributed in Zhaigen,Dinghe Township. |
