As an essentially agricultural country, China’s storage of grain is crucial to people’s livelihood and national stability event. Real-time monitoring of grain is the main work and critical factor in the storage of grain. It includes monitoring the temperature and humidity inside the granary, etc. With the rapid development of mobile communication and single-chip microcomputer technology, how to work out a set of intelligent system of measuring temperature and humidity in granary appear to have great practical significance. Within the intelligent granary system, managers only need a computer to build a simple wireless network for the real-time monitoring and management. This paper introduces the simple design of the intelligent monitoring system, with a design of hardware circuit and software system.Firstly, the system collects the parameters of temperature and humidity in every part of the granary through a number of acquisition terminals of single-chip micro-computer, then transfer the date to the computer through Zig Bee network. The computer stores the received data, then processes and analyses them. If the collected temperature and humidity exceed the expected, the computer will alarm to the managers’ phones, which can make real-time adjustment to the environment in granary.The focus of this paper is collecting and processing the data of granary through Lab windows/CVI software. Combining with the advantages of Lab windows/CVI software, the computer can display the curve of the temperature and humidity in granary which is convenient.In this paper, intelligent granary system is conceived and designed simply, which solves the problems in the process of monitoring and managing the grain to some extent. Furthermore,it puts forward new ideas to impr ove the int elli gent granar y system for the future.
