Comparism Of Grouth And Development In Bashang Long-Tail Chicken Different Feathering And The Feather Color Group

The Bashang long-tail chicken in China is a unique endemic species with small number of origin populations. In recent years, due to the invasion of alien species of hybrid, the chicken breed trait severely degraded, population in Purebred Chicken decreased, and it’s origin is not in the form of modern farming methods. In order to protect the local varieties, maintain species diversity, we need to research and development this unique species.In this study, we used identified feathering bred Bashang Long-tail chicken during incubation period as samples, according to the different feather color is divided into 6 groups,measuring weight and body size in 8, 10, 12,14, 16, 18, 20 weeks old and 200 days of age, feather length in 8 week-old and feather change number in 8, 10, 12,14, 16, 18, 20 weeks old, recording related body weight at laying start when they began production, the main results are as follows:1. Feather color and feathering ratio during the incubation period are basically unchanged.2. The whole incubation period, weight gradually the impact of significant on feathering(p<0.05)turn into a significant effect on its gender(p<0.05).3. Feathering on growth has been significantly(p<0.05), in the same feather color, feathering groups, gender factors had significant effects(p<0.05).4. Feather color genes have no significant effect on the growth.
