Soil/land resources are the basic conditions for human survival and development, isthe foundation of agricultural production, is also the protection of economic and socialsustainable development.But with the fragility, soil/degradation of land resources, thedeterioration of ecological environment of the global food production has becomeincreasingly prominent, people gradually realized the importance of spatial information,and also constantly put forward higher requirements inr space information acquisition,transmission, processing, management, comprehensive, timely, accurate, objective graspand deal with all kinds of resources the spatial information has become the urgent need forthe state and society.In this paper, the factors of the land resources in Taihang mountainous areas of HebeiProvince as the research object,taking MapInfo and ArcGis as the technology platform,integrating different information source data, to establish the covering soil and land,topography, climate, vegetation, agricultural production management factors of TaihangMountain Area in Hebei province1:5million land resource database, using VB and MapXtechnology, research and development the soil/land resources information system ofTaihang Mountain; combined with the soil erosion and land productivity evaluation model,evaluation and analysis of the status of the degree of soil erosion and soil fertility inTaihang Mountain Area. Provide technical support and assistant decision-making forsustainable utilization of land resources in Taihang Mountain areas, the construction ofinformation platform of gricultural resources in Hebei province,the use development,planning, management of agricultural resources,and sustainable development. The mainconclusions of this study are as follows:(1) The overall framework design of database system will multi-sourceheterogeneous soil/land resources data using into the database technology, systemintegration technology and other major technology, integrated into a unified data format,then the database platform construction as the foundation, formation of multi type, multiscale, multi temporal soil/land resources database system, design of data distribution andservice, data sharing, data updating and maintenance of the whole system.(2) The implementation of the information system on soil and land based digitalinformation sharing as the goal, put forward a set of complete, open, advanced, economicaland practical information system overall design scheme. Set up a soil/land resources information system in Taihang Mountain of Hebei, which have high current data can beapplied to the management of resources, give full play to the role.(3)For the soil erosion intensity and farmland fertility potential end features ofTaihang Mountain area, use the system of Farmland Soil Erosion modules andcomprehensive analysis module. Using the degree of soil erosion in hebei taihangmountain soil erosion module into micro degrees, mild(no obvious erosion), moderate,strength, strength and sharp six grades. The six grades respectively of the total area of33.72%、41.00%、6.95%、6.65%、5.69%and5.89%.Only indicates the presence of differentlevels of soil erosion of Taihang Mountain area, and the extent of soil erosion plains farbelow the mountainous area. Mountain soil erosion area is large, the intensity is high,theland problem has become a major problem in Hebei Taihang Mountain area, is animportant factor in Hebei Taihang Mountain area sustainable development of agriculture.The use of cultivated land fertility evaluation module, selected10characteristic factor, forsoil fertility evaluate the cultivated land of Taihang Mountain area, from the characteristicsof various grades of cultivated land distribution we can see that the Piedmont region wasbetter in the low mountain and hilly area. Combined with the results of the evaluation chartof Taihang Mountain area of cultivated land fertility, understanding the Farmland overalldistribution of Taihang Mountain area, provide good support and basic data for furtherapplication of cultivated land use decisions and other projects.
