Preparation Of Three Kinds Of Seed Treatment Dispersible Powders And Their Control Efficacy Against The Cotton Aphid

Cotton is one of the major cash crops in Hebei. Cotton aphids have risen as the mainpests of cotton in recent years. Because of the high speed propagation,serious overlappinggenerations and single farmer spraying methods, resistance of Cotton aphids haveincreased gradually, and it is difficult to prevent, which is restricting the production ofcotton seriously.In order to filter out the excellent agents which can control cotton seedling aphidseffectively. In this paper, the formulations of clothianidin, thiamethoxam, ethiprole threekinds of seed treatment dispersible powder agents were studied, through selectting wettingagents, dispersing agents, film formers, anti-settling agents which were mixed and crushedpreliminarily using LD-200high-speed multi-function mill, and then were crushed deeplyby jet mill to determine the optimal formulation of70%clothianidin seed treatmentdispersible powder,70%thiamethoxam seed treatment dispersible powder,70%ethiproleseed treatment dispersible powder, and verified its indicators, The main findings were asfollows:1. The active ingredient content, viscosity, particle size, pH, forming time, coatinguniformity, seed coat shedding rate, and other indicators of70%clothianidin seedtreatment dispersible powders,70%thiamethoxam seed treatment dispersible powders，and70%ethiprole seed treatment dispersible powders prepared were qualified.2. Cotton seed germination test of the three initial seed treatment dispersible powdersfor crop safety verification results Indoor showed that the three kinds of seed treatmentdispersible powder had no adverse effects on germination and seedling growth of cotton.3. Comparing the field trial of crop safety and anti-aphid controlled efficacy，wefound, the field crop safety test of70%clothianidin seed treatment dispersible powders,70%thiamethoxamseed treatment dispersible powders,70%ethiprole seed treatmentdispersible powders were qualified. The results showed, three kinds of dispersible powdersfor seed treatment of cotton seed coating treatment had a good effect on cotton seedlingaphid. Especially，70%clothianidin seed treatment dispersible powder with activeingredient1000g/100kg seeds on cotton seedling aphid control can last more than30days,and its control effect can reach to92.64%, better than the control of the comparison pharmacy70%thiamethoxam seed treatment dispersible powders (homemade),70%ethiprole seed treatment dispersible powders (homemade) and70%thiamethoxam seedtreatment dispersible powders (Syngenta) for each treatmen.
