| This study was conducted in Hebei University of Engineering Ming Guanteaching and research base as test material of four year Cerasus humilis seedlings ofthe morphological characteristics, biological characteristics, habits of self-pollination,shoot and fruit growth dynamics were investigated, The correlation of flowers, leaves,fruits and other traits were researched to evaluate the relationship between differenttraits of Cerasus humilis, Meanwhile,Cerasus humilis breeding techniques werepreliminarily tested. Investigation and analysis clarified the growth and developmentof habits of Prunus：(1)Cerasus humilis is a dwarf shrubs fruit trees in Rosaceae Prunus species. Itsposture is radially opened with average height0.5-1.3m. Its branches trunk is notobvious. Perplant displays a shape of clusters. Cerasus humilis buds early March, Itfull blooms in early April, for the hard core in early June, for the rapid enlargement ofthe fruit in July. for the fruit ripening late July to early August. The shoot basicallystopped in the middle of August. The leaves began to fall in mid November. The selfpollinated fruit set of Cerasus humilis was investigated by bagging method, The firstsurvey of self-pollinated fruit was0.48%, The second self-pollinated fruit was0in theAugust8th.(2)The new shoot of Cerasus humilis continuously and rapidly growth fromMay to early July, However, the new shoots slowly growth in mid July; The dynamistrend of fruit development in general was "moderate growth-slow growth-rapidgrowth". The fruit rapidly growth from Mid July. The growth rate of fruit diameteris significantly faster than longitudinal diameter, at the same time, peel color changeobviously, The maturity of fruit gradually improve.(3)There is a certain correlation in bud color and fruit color of Cerasus humilis.The plant with yellow green and pink bud traits bears fruit yellow only; There is notsignificant correlation between leaf index and fruit shape index;There is somecorrelation between leaf area and fruit weight.The correlation coefficient was0.3178.The correlation does not reach a significant level.(4)In the investigation of Cerasus humilis fruit yield, the yield of lines18-12reached2368.44g. It is the high-yield strains; By the survey of Cerasus humilis fruit quality factor, the lines6-8with peel color yellow taste better, its highest solublesugar content, reaching14.88%. Its acid content is the lowest, only0.58%, but itsvitamin content is not high with4.03%.(5)In order to determine the optimum cutting period, matrix, rooting powdertype and number of leaves, the rooting percentage, shoot growth and callusoccurrence were tested by orthogonal test. But by taking shade in a greenhouse andwatering regularly by artificial methods, no plants survived, rooted or producedcallus. |
