In order to study the influence of different buffer processing and dry heat treatment on watermelon seed physiology and Storability,the Watermelon Seeds with7%moisture content as materials and detecting the effects of all kinds of dry heat sterilization.The results are as follows:1、The sterilizing effect of dry heat treatment to Bacterial Fruit Blotch DiseaseThe reaserach of the effect of the sterilization through dry heat treatment showed it’s very effective.With increasing treatment time and treatment temperature, sterilization effect is enhanced, The ELISA results became negative gradually, the incidence of BFB also showed a decreasing trend,and the sterilization rate of watermelon with BFB at dry heat treatment70℃72h、70℃72h and80℃72h are90.6%,99.4%and100%respectively. With increasing treatment temperature, sterilization effect is enhanced and accordingly reduced the vigor of the seed. So we get the conclusion70℃for72h are suitable for watermelon seeds dry heat treatment.The results of the study provides a theoretical for the application of dry heat treatment.2、The effect of different buffering on watermelon seed germination and anti-aging abilityAfter different dry heat treatment,seeds germination and anti-aging ability performance with buffer treatment50℃12h seeds are the best compare with50℃24h and50℃0h,the result showed that50℃12h is the best buffer treatment for watermelon seeds before dry heatment.3、The effect of dry-heat treatment on watermelon seed vigorMake the seeds under high temperature treatment of70℃、75℃, antioxidant enzyme activity, MDAcontent、relative conductivity gradually increased.While The CAT activity under80℃conditions showed increased first and then decreased while the POD activity had a slow downward trend.,that is to say80℃is a deep level stress can make the seeds improve its anti oxidase to avoid harm,the antioxidant enzyme activity gradually reduced during long-term consumption with the stress going futher.After70℃、75℃and80℃dry heat ttreatment, A series of physiological changes of watermelon seeds don’t affect germination, The experiments showed that dry heat treatment at70℃、75℃and80℃have no Influence on germination,which have no significant difference in the germination compared with the control. Seeds may be have a strong ability to repair itself in the germination process.The experiments of seeds after dry heat treatment anti-aging ability show that with increasing the time and temperature, germination of seeds after-aging also reduced except the group of70℃for all the time and75℃for24hs which experienced no significant difference in the germination rate compared with the control.We also found that the group of80℃for all the time and75℃for48h and72h had a significant difference between control group showed significantly decreased in seeds germination.We get the conclusion that the seed after dry heat treated performanced poor in storage should be used in the year.
