Resaerch On The Control Of Pseudorabies In Jiexiu Shanxi Province

Pseudorabies (PR) is a highly contagious and often fatal disease of swine caused by Pseudorabies virus (PRV).The annual direct economic losses caused PRV was several billions.In this paper,the serological investigation,the immunization program formulation and the eradication of PR was researched,provide a theoretical basis and clinical practice for future prevention and control PR.We had detected the serological investigation from large-scale pig farms and rural retail in Jiexiu region.The positive rate of vaccine antibody was 91% and the positive rate of wild antibody was 2.6% in large-scale pig farms,it was lower than in rural retail farms.However,the positive rate of vaccine antibody was 72.7% and the positive rate of wild antibody was 23.3% in rural retail farms.For development the immunization program of PRV vaccine,piglets were detected serum of PRV specific antibody levels in 14,21,28 days after the first immunization,in 35 days after the second immunization,in 35 days after the third immunization.The effect is more ideal for the intranasal immunization to PRV infected farms,the antibody level is ideal for intramuscular immunization in 35 days to PRV infected nursery pigs,the antibody level is ideal for intramuscular immunization in 70 days to PRV infected fattening pigs.We suggested that develop reasonable immunization programs according to their specific problems in production of every pig farm.Developed the recycling system"Immunity-Detection-Eliminate-Monitoring",eradicated PRV in farrow farms.After several cycles,PRV wild antibody test was negative of ancestor swine,after the first immunization PRV vaccine,serum antibody vaccine was showed positive,pig serum antibody of parent pigs was showed positive after 4 weeks.The recycling system was eradicated PRV successful.
