Horizontal spindle type cotton-picking machine is a kind of large cotton harvest machinery of high precision, high precision requirements. Core components- mining head(especially spindle- action execution parts to pick) are expensive, difficult to maintenance, and depend on imports, grasp the cotton-picking machine core technology become the focus of the relevant scientific research institutions. The motion and the rationality of form rationality of key components of the cotton-picking machine omen institutions(especially spindle) directly affect the picking performance. In order to improve picking performance of domestic cotton-picking machine, the trajectory and form mechanism of the spindle of horizontal spindle type cotton-picking machine were studied as follows:The machine principle and classification of cotton-picking machine were classified and arranged, the movement principle of key components of the horizontal spindle type cotton-picking machine- omen was analyzed. Draw conclusion of the spindle’s rotation, orbit, swinging motion mechanism and transmission mechanism.By means of the ideas of the function theory of functional analysis to get the structure composition and the function for parts; Using UG to digital modeling of omen, get each part of model for omen, and simplified model according to some principles, prepare for the simulation; Using ADAMS on the spindle trajectory simulation to get the trajectory curve, draw the conclusion: spindle in the picking area and the distribution of cotton is dense, spindle initial into the work area is 60 degree Angle which can reduce the agitation of pearl cotton. The displacement and Angle of the end of Spindle changes with different picking procedures, and cycle; Import the path curve simulation data information into the MATLAB to get the polynomial of curve. The fitting results show well. Then conduct mathematical description of the curve by cut it into two sections, and two different coefficients for 6 degree polynomial were got. Study the motion law of spindle and its influence on the spindle picking performance through the above work.Creative use configuration variation method to research on spindle shape, structure and mechanic analysis, especially in shape for a variety of combinations and put forward two new form on the basis of the spindle and conducted a comparing force analysis between variable spindle by using the simulation module of UG to optimize the variable spindle. Through the above means to research the picking mechanism of horizontal spindle type cotton-picking machine, so as to provide reference for optimizing the performance of domestic cotton-picking machine.Finally, using the DMSP software in the virtual reality platform to conduct virtual assembly and scene demonstration for the omen, the FDM-3D technology was used to verify the core moving parts of picker head actually.
