The Comparison And Evaluation On The European Sweet Cherry Varieties Character In Shanghai

The goal of this thesis is to select the right Europen sweet cherry varieties that can adopt Shanghai clim ate. Spring of Shanghai warms faster than the north, the m ean annual temperature is 4℃ higher than traditional cherry planting area, also with more rain. Selecting adoptable varieties with lowe r chilling requirement for this area are the keys for European sweet cherrysu ccessfully planting in Shanghai. On the basis of root restriction and rain shelter, 5 varieties wa s compared in this study for 3 years, the results are as follows:1. Some varieties of European sw eet cherrycan be p lanted in Qingpu district, which is confirmed by studying 5 varieies on Phenophase process, growth condition of tree and bearing character combined with temperature record This success filled a gap of the north furit species planting in the so uth, it can f ertilize the south furit market, more important, the adoptable plant zone of our country can rang towards the south at least 500 kilemetres. It has broad prospects and great realistic significance.2. The m aterial was selected in Qingpu modern agriculture zone located in Huangpu river protected water area, 3 years st udy that Eurepean sw eet cherry can be planted successfully if the plant manage system is correct even in Shanghai,with high groundwater, much rain and early warm ing spring. The setting percen tage and fruit perfomance of these varieties tested are good. Within 3 years, average output per mu reached 500 kilos. Fruit maturation period is before May 27 th. At that m oment, the price is 60 yuan per kilos, if calculated in this way, the output value per m u is more than 30 thousand. Planting European sw eet cherryin Shangha i can obtain great economic benefit. It also shows th e feasibility of planting sweet cherryin Shangh ai surburbs.3. The bearing character of 5 sweet cherry varieties tested shows that Brooks, Vans and Summit are suitable for planting in Sh anghai. Considering fruit character and phenophase results, Brooks and Summ it are mo re suitable in Shanghai surburbs as leading varieties, and Van can be planted appropriately as pollinated tree.
