Amicarbazone was triazolinone herbicides, was founded by Bayer plant protection department. In this work, the hydrolysis and photodegradation kinetics of amicarbazone were determined under lab controlled conditions, with the chemical extracted by liquid-liquid partition and detected by HPLC. In order to accurately grasp the behavior in the environment of amicarbazone, to assess its safety to ecosystems, guide the people rational application of science and provides a reliable basis for scientific and reasonable. In the study probing the hydrolysis behavior of amicarbazone.(1)The results indicate that the hydrolysis rates of amicarbazone varied substantially in the buffer solutions at p H 4, 7, and 9, half-lives were determined to be 35.8 d,48.4 d and 20.6 d at buffer p H 4, 7, 9, respectively, which shows amicarbazone was more prone to hydrolysis under acidic and alkaline conditions than neutral conditions.( 2)Distinction of hydrolysis rates in different water types, the order of hydrolysis rates was identified to be: paddy water> river water> lake water> distilled water, with the corresponding half-lives determined to be 11.2 d,23.6 d,28.3 d and 31.4 d, respectively. Paddy shortest half-life in water, the longest is distilled water.(3)Distinction of hydrolysis rates in different surfactant trials, the order of hydrolysis rates was identified to be: Spand 60> SDBS> Tween 80, the corresponding half-lives determined to be 28.4 d,30.7 d,35.9 d.(4)Distinction of hydrolysis rates in the initial concentration of 1.0 mg/L, 2.0 mg/L and 5.0 mg/L, the corresponding half-lives determined to be 7.5 d, 14.0 d and 31.4 d.(5)The results demonstrate that the existence of humic acid in natural environment stimulated the chemical’s hydrolysis, distinction of hydrolysis rates in the initial concentration of 25.0 mg/L 、5.0 mg/L and 0.5 mg/L, the corresponding half-lives determined to be 16.4 d、23.9 d and 30.6 d.A photo-reactor coupled with a high-vapor mercury lamp was used in understanding the photodegradation behavior of amicarbazone.(1)With the 300 W mercury lamp as light source, in three buffer solutions at different p H, the corresponding half-lives determined to be 7.6 h,6.4 h and 2.9 h,which shows amicarbazone was more prone to photolysis under alkaline and neutral conditions than acidic conditions. The photodegradation rate promoted by acetone and retarded by methanol.(2)With the 300 W mercury lamp as light source, the order of photodegradation of amicarbazone in river water, paddy water, lake water and distilled water, with the corresponding half-lives calculated to be 8.1 h,9.0 h,9.6 h and 14.6 h, respectively.(3)With the 300 W mercury lamp as light source, the degradation of organic solvent acetone grass of amicarbazone rate of far greater than other types.(4)Distinction of hydrolysis rates in the initial concentration of 1.0 mg/L, 2.0 mg/L and 5.0 mg/L, the corresponding half-lives determined to be 1.6 h, 4.2 h and 7.1 h. The photolysis rate of amicarbazone are negatively related with its own concentration.(5)Humic acid inhibited the photolysis rate of ketone amine azole grass, and the larger the humic acid concentration of amine ketone of grass biological effects, the more obvious. Photolysis half-lives were 1.3 h, 4.5 h and 8.5 h.
