Study Of Antennal Microstructure In Six Species Of Noctuidae

In the text, we study the antennae microstructure in six species of Noctuidae, analyz the differences of the shape, the distribution of location, the length and diameter of base and the difference of the periphytic numbers of antennae The results were as follows:There is no significant difference in the shape, the length and distribution of location of these insects investigated. There are nine antennal sensillum on the antennal segments in six species, Respectively including Sensilla Trichoid, Sensilla Chaetica I, Sensilla Chaetica II, Sensilla Squamiformia, Sensilla Coeloconica, Sensilla Styloconica, Sensilla Basiconic, Sensilla Auricillica and B?hm Bristle. howerer, the antennal sensillum is different significantly, the type of the length, diameter of base and numbers were different, and the length of antennae were all different signicantly in different species.There are eight antennal sensillum on the antennae of Heliothis armigera Hubner. The length of Sensilla Trichoid,Sensilla Coeloconica, Sensilla Basiconic are longer than others,but Sensilla Chaetica I, B?hm Bristle, Sensilla Auricillica are the shortest; the numbers of Sensilla Basiconic, B?hm Bristle are much more than species, there is no Sensilla Chaetica II in it.There are nine antennal sensillum on the antennae of Agrotis ypsilon Rottemberg.The length of Sensilla Trichoid, Sensilla Chaetica I, The length of Sensilla Chaetica II, Sensilla Basiconic Sensilla are short than others, the number of Sensilla Trichoid, Sensilla Chaetica I, Sensilla Chaetica II, Sensilla Styloconica, Sensilla Squamiformia, Sensilla Coeloconica are much more than other species.There are nine antennal sensillum on the antennae of Leucania separate(Walker).The length of Sensilla Trichoid, Sensilla Chaetica I, Sensilla Chaetica II, Sensilla Coeloconica, Sensilla Styloconica, Sensilla Basiconic and Sensilla Auricillica are longer than others, the numbers of Sensilla Squamiformia, Sensilla Styloconica and B?hm Bristle are much more than other species.There are seven antennal sensillum on the antennae of Heliothis viriplaca Hufnagel.The length of Sensilla Basiconic is longer than thers, Sensilla Trichoid,Sensilla Chaetica I, Sensilla Coeloconica, Sensilla Styloconica, Sensilla Auricillica, B?hm Bristle are shorter than others, the numbers of Sensilla Squamiformia, Sensilla Styloconica and B?hm Bristle shorter than other species.There are no Sensilla Chaetica II and Sensilla Squamiformia on it.There are nine antennal sensillum on the antennae of Amathes c-nigrum Linnaeus.The length of Sensilla Trichoid, Sensilla Chaetica I, Sensilla Coeloconica, Sensilla Styloconica, Sensilla Auricillica, B?hm Bristle are the longest, the numbers of Sensilla Trichoid, Sensilla Squamiformia are more than others, the number of Sensilla Trichoid, Sensilla Chaetica I, Sensilla Chaetica II, Sensilla Coeloconica, Sensilla Styloconica are fewer than other species.There are seven antennal sensillum on the antennae of Argyrogramma agnata Staudinge.The length of Sensilla Chaetica II, Sensilla Coeloconica, B?hm Bristle are shorter than others, the number of Sensilla Trichoid, Sensilla Chaetica I,Sensilla Chaetica II, Sensilla Coeloconica, Sensilla Styloconica are more than other species, there are no Sensilla Basiconic and Sensilla Auricillica on it.
